It is an abcess, and she needs to see a dentist as soon as possible, if you wait to long she may need a root canal. It will get bigger and can even burst and come back....(I broke a tooth at age 13 and had a temporary filling that caused it...Had to have root canal and crown...

I had a pimple on my gum on the upper left back molars. I had this "pimple" for a year, and continued to mess around with it as it would fill up with puss and I would press it to get rid of the infection. If it fills with puss and you are able to expel it then it is a dental fistula, however, it may not be able to drain easily. A dental fistula is basically where an infection drains away from the source, which is the root of the tooth, and the infection is either a cyst or in most cases an abscess. With the infection draining away from the nerve, you won't feel much, if any pain, so people can ignore it for years as it doesn't trouble them. Also, a fistula can be hard to determine on an xray. My dentist threaded a small piece of rubber into my fistula/ pimple to see where the drain led to, then took x-rays and was able to pinpoint the infection. I had the root canal on Monday morning and couldn't feel any pain. The "pimple" has now gone completely, as the infection was drained and the roots of the tooth cleaned out and packed with antibacterial clay. I will need to get a crown in two weeks, but I',m glad I got it done when I did because the infection could have flared up, spread and caused me a lot of pain. I would suggest you get it checked out again, and ask whether they can thread the pimple to see where it is coming from. As for your sinuses, which inflames the blood vessels in the head, that will aggravate the infection and cause pressure to mount on the never of your tooth. Get it seen to until they do something about it!

I work in a dental office and it sounds like an abcess. The infection is looking for a way out. Even if it isn't sore she really should see a dentist or pediatrician. If the area is raised don't use heat as it will increase the circulation and could make it hurt. A cold sore usually looks like a depressed area or a ulcer so it should be fairly easy to tell the difference.

That's a sign of infection. When a tooth gets an abcess or infection, sometimes it has nowhere to go but out the gums. You should take her in to the dentist to get it checked out. I work as a dental assistant for specialty in root canals, and that could be what she needs, a pulpotomy.

Sounds like an abcess. Get her to the dentist immediately. An abcess can be very harmful to her health, even deadly. But only her dentist can make an accurate diagnosis.

It could be a smal abscess from the tooth it above. She may not have pain now but you should see a dentist so they can xray this area and tell you if there is a problem.

Sounds like a canker sore. Go to the spice section of your grocery store and buy a little bottle of Alum. It's used in pickling. Dab a little of the white powder on it, and don't let her spit it out. It will make her drool like crazy, but keep it on there for a minute or two. It will heal it right up in a day or two.

If it isn't a cold sore, she could be developing an abcess. U should take her to the dentist.
