i have limited amount of cash at hand but i still try my best to buy tooth polishers and even brushing my teeth 4 times a day plus i floss and uses mouth wash. but the fresh breath will only last for a few hours then it will be gone and the bad breath will start smelling. for now, i am just using breath spray when interacting with people.

Hi, does anyone have experience of tooth bleaching? Not the toothpaste but the proper method where you have to keep the bleach on for a few hours. I'm being offered the treatment for £200. Just wondering if it’s safe, and how long it lasts for….

I hadn't worn my wire retainer in over 10 years. My teeth started to shift so I started wearing it again. I am in soooo much pain, especially sensitive to hot/cold beverages. I'm a little worried, is this normal? Could I cause damage to my roots or teeth?

I went to the dentist a while ago with a really bad toothache, and he had to do a root canal because the tooth was badly decayed. Anyway, at that time he told me I needed two wisdom teeth extracted because they had large cavities in them, and that I had another two cavities which would need fillings.

Anyway, things happened and I didn't go back for any of the other treatment after the root canal. Now one of the wisdom teeth is really painful and the cavity has got a LOT worse. One of my friends said it's really difficult to extract teeth that are so badly decayed because they tend to break off, and that I might need to have it surgically extracted now.

Is that true? And if I do have to have surgery to extract that tooth, can they do the work on the others while I'm under anaesthetic anyway? Because I'm pretty scared of going back to the dentist after the root canal, and I'm worried that I'll need more than fillings because I've left it so long.

Root canal and permanent crown finished over 2 months ago. The bite on the crown has been adjusted and is perfect. Sensitive sometimes painful to bite and has a semi constant ache. Root canal was done by an endodontist. I have been to my dentist, the endodontist that performed the root canal, and another endodontist and all three see nothing wrong in the xrays, and can find no signs of infection. I was prescribed antibiotics just to see, and there has been no change. The endodontist that did the work has offered to redo the root canal (no charge) and see if that helps. He was grim in his prospects however, and says all the symptoms sway towards a crack, and another rc may infact make it worse. All three agreed that a cracked tooth will have to be extracted. My question is, is it worth the second root canal, or should the tooth just be extracted now to end the problems? Is there any other possibilities?
