Tongue rings grow in really fast, like in about an hour or less. I took mine out on a whim because I decided I didn't like it, and then a little bit later I decided I DID want it and I tried to put it back in, but the hole was closed.

You can get a little spacer thing if you have to hide it.

UNTIL IT HEALS FROM THE NEEDLE THAT WENT YOUR TONGUE. REMEMBER TO GET A SHORT STEM BETWEEN THE TWO ENDS SO YOU THAT YOU DON'T BITE ON THE LARGE BALL AT THE END AND BREAK A TOOTH .

I have mine percied it takes about a full month to be totally healed
