well the only thing that works is going to a dentist, but if you don't wanna waste the money do what i do.I let pepperment cloves soke in alcohol(not alcohol to drink, the one to heal.)for like 15 minutes. After that get a piece of cotton and soke it in it and then put it on the tooth that hurts. It might taste sick but it works.
Also you can take pain killers but after a while you get addicted to them.Well that's all I can say try it.Hope it works.

NOTHING can heal it. You can help the pain by swishing with Listerine about 3 times a day. I had a tooth break in half and wasn't able to go to the dentist for a few months and this was the ONLY thing that helped me through that time!

Unless the tooth falls out, root nerve and all, which I don't see happening! nothing will keep the pain from coming back but a trip to the dentist. Chewing on cloves helps but can burn the gums. Holding Bourbon on the side that hurts {burns too} but it helps. And Ambesol helps, also that old remedy oil of clove on cotton shoved into cavity. All in all it's misery and the dentist winds up being the more painless!

A toothache means something is wrong and needs attention. Just putting something on it to stop the pain does not solve the problem. If you have an infection, you must get antibiotics to clear it up. If you have a cavity, it must be filled so you won't loose the tooth. Make an appointment and take care of it before it gets worse and you have a bigger problem.

yes 'probably the only thing that will help is the dentist' and you will end up loosing it if you don't go. until you can get their go to store and get some tooth ache medican ; their are all kinds ' my mom once told me she had a real bad tooth ache and she held ice water on it and it stopped and never hurt again; I never tried it though' or try holding something warm on your jaw;hope you feel better soon.

If u can't get to the dentist right away, I use to crush up an asprine and rub it on the tooth and gum.......then take a drink of whiskey and swoosh it around......it helps for awhile
