Dental - October 2006

Well I just did. I am starting my 2nd day of healing and im still a bit swelled and still have some pain. When does the pain completely go away and when were you able to get back to normal day to day activities? I will have my sutures taken out in 6 days. Will the pain be gone before then? AND on the actual day I have my sutures out I have a huge event that I have been planning/Running for that night, will I be alright? Will there be more pain associated with the suture removals?

Lost a tooth due to breaking it a while back. Never got it replaced because it is not that easily noticeable unless I smile real big. Are there any health issues or problems that may occur if I don't ever get it replaced?

I can't get in to see my dentist until Monday morning, and this pain is so bad I can't eat or sleep.
This is the only pain medicine I have, could it help some with the pain?

Hey Everyone.. I have a pretty bad Cavity(i think). Yesterday (friday) my tooth started hurting really badly at school, and it's hurt since! I can barely open my mouth to talk, and in the middle of my tooth, there's a black spot:(! It's Saturday and I can't get into the dentist Until monday.. Any suggestions for something that would help with the pain? I would chew on ice or something.. Except the coldness also hurts my tooth!

I'm 15 and went to the orthdontist before. He told me to get two adult teeth taken out thenin 2 weeks he'll put spacers then braces etc. BUT my other teeth haven't all come through yet! So don't all your adult molar teeth have to come through first? & I don't want to get the teeth taken out because I've already got visible gaps from baby teeth falling out!!

Please tell me if you know this is normal and fine, or if there's anyway I DON'T have to get teeth taken out!! Thankyou!!

My daughter is 5 she goes to the dentist and brushes everyday but this morning woke up with pain in her mouth. i looked and saw that the tooth all the way in the back has the gums behind the tooth is swollen and covering half of it.looks swollen and very pink/red in color. it hurts her when she chews and she is running a fever,,, im gonna take her monday morning but does anyone know what this could be?

): i went to my dentist and he said that all 4 of my wisdom teeth r impacted but my top two are the worse. 1. they are impacted and 2. they are growing into my sinus cavity. also he doesnt knwo of any surgeons that will take them out with my insurance and he doesnt want to do it because he doesnt really like to mess with the ones in my sinus cavity so plz hope i can find a surgeon close to me. these are part of teh reason i ahve pain in my head and pressure. im scared though that i wont beable to find a suergon soon enough cuz the dentist said i need them out ASAP but if it comes to it, he said he will take them out. i got 1 growing side ways, 2 growing into my sinus cavity and 1 growing in my jaw.so plz hope i can find someone.

Is there anything to reduce the pain of wisdom teeth? Oddly enough, my wisdom teeth are coming out now, when I am in my thirties.
I saw my dentist couple days ago, and he said that they are coming out straight, that there is more than enough room for them, and that I should let them grow and not have surgery.y thirties. He adviced me to try OTC and natural remedies for the pain while they're coming out. Any ideas what might alleviate the pain, besides OTC numbing drops and liquid?
It is driving me super crazy. It is not very painful, but it's extremely annoying. The OTC anesthetics help with the pain, but they numb my whole mouth and make me drool, which is kind of bad when I am in the middle of a business meeting. Any advice would be greatly appreciate.

It's constant and loud. I'm afraid she's damaging her teeth. She has healthy teeth. She brushes her teeth in the morning and night. I'm sure there's a solution for this, please help. What could happen if she continues to grind her teeth? And what 'causes this?

I'm going in to get my braces soon. But my ortho put these blue rubber spacers inbetween my teeth. I have a total of 7 and they are really bugging me. They itch like crazy?! anybody know any good home remedies? I dont wanna go out and spend $$.
