PLEASE do not take any antibiotics that you may have lying around your house. This can be very dangerous! Certain antibiotics treat certain strains of bacteria, which is why they are obtained through a medical doctor. Taking antibiotics which are not prescribed for this purpose can lead to dangerous antibiotic resistance, meaning that one day when you really need this antibiotic to work, it may not because you took it for something that you were not supposed to take it for or not as prescribed.
I would suggest taking ibuprofen, since ibuprofen is an anti inflammatory. (It helps take away pain caused by inflammation ie:an inflamed tooth due to a toothache). Ora-Gel or Ambesol are topical pain relievers which may also take away the pain from a toothache, although these are usually very temporary cures. If the toothache does not subside, you may consider going to the emergency room or a dental office that is open on a Saturday (Some are, although not many) or calling your dentists on call number if one is available. Good luck!

I have 2 children and 1 on the way. The absolute worst pain I've ever been in was when I had nerve pain due to a horrible toothache. No joke. A normal toothache, no big deal but I don't think anything could be worse than nerve pain. ETA: I've never gone through labor without an epidural so I can't compare those 2.

Jess's answer is the best, but in addition to using the pain medication of your choice, sleep on an extra pillow to elevate your head. Sleep on the side that does NOT have a toothache. If that doesn't work, you can move to a recliner or the sofa so you can keep your head really elevated. This will minimize the blood flow to the area and therefore minimize the throbbing and pain. This might help you make it through the night until you can see a dentist.

Go to the emergency room. The doctor there can use a medicine called tussilon pearls to numb your tooth. They are usually used as a cough suppressant, but when broken open the liquid inside has a numbing effect. They can also give you and antibiotic. The dentist won't be able to fix your tooth if you have an infection.

If you have any antibiotics take them. Otherwise take over the counter pain reliever like Tylenol Extra Strength. Get you some Benzidet, or OraJel. it will really help when you put it on your gums. Also you can put candle wax over it until you can get to the Dentist Monday. DO NOT chew on ice. Hope you feel better.

put some peroxide in your mouth & swish it around. Make sure you don't swallow it though it's poisonous.
