Well I just did. I am starting my 2nd day of healing and im still a bit swelled and still have some pain. When does the pain completely go away and when were you able to get back to normal day to day activities? I will have my sutures taken out in 6 days. Will the pain be gone before then? AND on the actual day I have my sutures out I have a huge event that I have been planning/Running for that night, will I be alright? Will there be more pain associated with the suture removals?

Suture removal is no big deal. If you are having trouble on the 5th or 6th day, it won't be because of having the sutures removed.
You should be fine for your event. It will take 3-4 more weeks before you feel all "back to normal" as if nothing ever happened, assuming you keep healing as well as you have so far.

I had my impacted wisdom teeth surgically removed a couple of months ago. My recovery time was much longer than I had anticipated. I was in a fair amount of pain for a full two weeks. I went to work during that time, but I was miserable, especially on days that I had to talk a lot. I have never taken pain medication in my life, but I diligently took my Vicodin for those two weeks. I was sure something was wrong, but the surgeon said some people take longer to recover than others. The suture removal itself is no big deal.
One hint they gave me was to make absolute sure that you use your little syringe thingy to clean the sockets out (after your 3rd or 4th day). If any food gets in there it causes inflammation and bad pain.
Take it easy, try to do minimal talking during your event and make sure you get enough rest. I would also suggest taking your pain medication as instructed (every few hours or whatever). If you wait until you really hurt to take the pills, it won't work like it's supposed to.

It would probably be a bad idea to run on the day you get your sutures out. I didn't have any pain at all but I was taking Lortab (generic Vicodin). I don't know about pain when the sutures because mine were the kind that dissolved. At least you aren't bruised. I looked like I had been punched in the jaw. Not fun.

Yes! I had mine done a few months ago in June. I was completely un swollen 7-8 days after the surgery. You probably won't feel 100 percent for your event but probably 90. It is a pain but at least you got it out of the way. I hope you feel better and hope your event goes well!

it takes a week or so for the pain to go away just make sure you clean out the holes after every meal that will help the healing process

You probably shouldn't be running then . But that might be a good question for your dentist to prevent you from having complications
