I doubt they would help but you could try 800mg of ibuprofen.

I would not use Midrin. It also acts on your blood vessels to relieve migraine and you do not need this. The maximum dose of Midrin is five per day. In order to get decent relief from the acetaminophen in Midrin, you would need to take three at a time every 4 to 6 hours. You would "run out" of dosing at five pills. If you had plain Tylenol 325 in the house, you could take 12 in a 24 hour period, but you are limited to 5 Midrin, which has the same amount of acetaminophen as each Tylenol 325. You would end up having a heart attack or stroke if you took enough Midrin to help with your toothache.
Ibuprofen would be the better choice, as many others have suggested. If you don't have some, you can probably get some from a neighbor, as almost everyone keeps some on hand. (Advil, Motrin, etc.) Aleve is another good choice.
In the meantime, sleep on an extra pillow to elevate your head. Sleep on the side that does NOT have a toothache. If that doesn't work, you can move to a recliner or the sofa so you can keep your head really elevated. This will minimize the blood flow to the area and therefore minimize the throbbing and pain. This might help you make it through the night until you can see a dentist.

If, you have a Wal-Wort close, go to where the tooth brushes are. There a rack with things like Dental Floss, Tooth picks etc. What you looking for is this Temporary Filler, it in a very small container and sell for less than $3. What I do is Brush the tooth well, then use a little Hydrogen Peroxide (DO NOT Swallow it), swish around spit rinse with Mouth wash a few times then water. The tooth not need to be dry. Make a little ball of the Filler and place over the chipped area. It harden up in a few minutes. If it around the gap between teeth run some Floss between the teeth to trim it out before it harden. What it do, is cover the exposed nerve and the pain go away without drugs. It has instructions tell how it work. It will last until you get to the Dentist. Just use a little to cover the chip, you not have to make a big glob.

How old are you? Are you over 18? If you are then I suggest taking ibuprophin tablets. About 600 to 800miligrams every four hours will be enough to take the pain away. This dosage will also start to work on the inflammation that is causing the pain. So it not only relieves the symptoms but also works on curing the condition. You can pick some up cheap at pretty much any place. The majority of these tablets come in 200mg tablets, so you need to take 3 or 4. Don't worry about taking these many at once. It is a fairly common practice.

Ibuprofen like the others said, and some orajel on the tooth until you can get to the dentist. Good luck! I've got one, too.
Midrin is for migraines and probably won't help it much.

Call another dentist. Call around, some are open on sat. Also some dentists will go in for an emergency, explain your pain and problem to the dentist answering service or whoever answers. Use a phone book and call every local dentist.
