Invisalign can be used to treat the vast majority of common problems for adults and teens.
Whether your smile needs minor improvements or more extensive adjustments, Invisalign can certainly help. It's successful in treating overly crowded or widely spaced teeth. It can also relieve more complex issues, including overbites, underbites and even crossbites. In fact, an Invisalign Certified Orthodontist or Dentist can use Invisalign clear aligners in all or part of just about any treatment plan. Click here to see "before and after" photographs of the great results people like you have received with Invisalign.
Made to fit your lifestyle, not change it.
Invisalign Invisible Braces Because Invisalign uses clear plastic aligners to position and straighten teeth, you can keep your active lifestyle during treatment. Unlike braces, Invisalign aligners have no metal bands or wires to irritate your mouth. So go ahead and be as active as you like. Since Invisalign is removable, just take the clear aligners out for special events or if you're going to indulge in a sticky, gooey snack.
Look your best during and after treatment.
Of course you want to look great, at work, at school, with friends. Maybe you speak to groups or conduct meetings. You still can. Because Invisalign is clear and nearly invisible, most people will never know you're straightening your teeth - unless you tell them. And when your course of treatment has ended, you can feel more confident, whether in front of people or not. You're going to have a stunning smile.
What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® can help you get the great smile you've always wanted because it's...
bullet
Invisible, so no one can tell you're straightening your teeth. So now you can smile more
during treatment as well as after.
bullet
Removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, plus brushing and flossing are no problem.
bullet
Comfortable, because it has no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. And no
metal and wires usually means you spend less time in your doctor's office getting
adjustments.
You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. Each set of aligners, move the teeth about 0.25 millimeters per aligner
bulletAs you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the final position.
bulletYou'll visit your dentist about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned.
bulletTotal treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.
Not everyone is a candidate for Invisalign. Depending on the movement you need, extrusion and the with of the arch are all factors of this product. You also must have your 12 yr molars and be good to wear the aligners for 22 hours a day. You do not eat or drink anything other than water with the aligners in. So what you need is a consultation. Invisalign is about the same amount as reg. braces but you only spend 20 mins every six weeks at the dentist as com paired to 1 or 2 hours every month at the dentist with traditional brackets. You change the aligners out every two weeks (again you must wear them 22 hours a day) you can go to invisalign.com for more answers and to find a dentist near you most consults are free.

If your case is SUITABLE for Invisalign, it works wonderfully well - as long as you do your part and wear them (almost) 24/7. Any dentist doing Invisalign has to be certified to use them and should be capable of making the diagnosis of whether or not to use them. If Invisalign was suggested to you, then it should work for your case.
I would not say that Invisalign is better or worse than braces, because it depends on the case. There is no set answer. After a few minutes of wearing them, your speech will sound just fine. They are very thin and pretty much exactly the same shape as your teeth. They do tend to increase the amount of saliva in your mouth at first, but you soon get used to that and the salivary flow seems to slow back to normal after a while, also.

I'm guessing you haven't been told by an orthodontist that you can have Invisalign ? Because with overcrowding and in cases where quite a lot of movement is required, Invisalign are no good and can't be used. Also, if you need chewing gum to make your mouth smell bearable, there's something wrong, possibly a gum issue. Nobody should need chewing gum to make their breath smell ok.

Invisalign Pros: No one will know you have them on. Very good for those with little crowding of teeth to correct. In just couple of office visits you get long term solution (6-36 months). You do not have a long list of caution (advisory) against certain foods. Enjoy any food(s) and as many times. No restrictions on the juicy bites of many kinds! No rushing to orthodontist for the kind of problem(s) one encounters with traditional braces.
Invisalign Cons: It is yet to prove its efficacy for extreme cases of crowded teeth. It is expensive (still worth for many, anyway, for the kind of liberty it allows).

The following information is provided to patients who will be starting clear aligner treatment in our office. While recognizing the benefits of teeth that function well and have a pleasing appearance, a patient should be aware that Clear aligner treatment, like any other treatment of the human body, has inherent risks and limitations. The response of a living system cannot be predicted perfectly. If a patient decides not to proceed with treatment, then the state of the dentition (teeth) can be expected to continue on its present path. Any unwanted changes that are occurring can be expected to continue, but the rate of these changes are very unpredictable. In general, dental change tends to be very slow, but as much as we would like to, we cannot tell a patient exactly what might happen if they decide not to proceed with our recommendations. A patient must balance the risks of non treatment against the risks of treatment. In our opinion, the risks of treatment are not enough to rule against proceeding; nevertheless, a patient should consider them carefully before they make a final decision. Please note that it is not possible to list every circumstance, so the following list is necessarily incomplete.
