So i look really messed up around my lips and i have this work event on tuesday october 24. Im woundering if i going to be healed with the swelling and the cuts by then.

It depends on the individual case. Sounds like you had a rather rough time. I would allow a couple of weeks.

Hi Star21,
The swelling might be down by then-you should use cold compresses on & off all weekend to be sure, I am not sure about the cuts- you could probably use make-up to hide them. I hate to be the one to tell you your face will probably be black, blue then evidently yellow I stayed home from work for 3 weeks took a medical leave of absent ( i was in contact with people). Be sure to take the antibotic & any pain medicine as this will help, & gargle salt/baking soda water as soon as possible this helps heal the inside of your mouth. Good luck & have a good day! :0)
P.S. I had 4 impacted teeth removed then got a dry socket the best thing for this is to soak a tea bag in hot water & either bite down on it or hold it in place & take Pain medicine.

I had all four of mine taken out too. It took my face a week for the swelling to go down, and about a month for the places where my teeth once were to completely here. It is very important to clean teh holes with the squeezy thing they gave you, so u can get the drainiage out. It is going to stink believe me, so carry some breth mints...lol....teh swelling should be gone down by tuesday, but your cuts will take a lot longer to completely heal. Be careful about getting food in there too, you dont want an infection.

It all depends, you may try Zinc it is suppose to be a healing agent. You should heal in half the time. It also depends if you had any other problems like dry sockets.(where the area that the teeth were removed from do not bleed.) If you had dry sockets your dentists would have you come back to have them packed. the packing holds the sockets open and lets them heal from inside out.

Get plenty of rest take the meds the doctor gave you and don't eat anything that will bother your mouth I had mine out and in 5 days was good to go and I did not have stitches in my mouth. The swelling will go away any day now. Good Luck
