It depends if you are having custom trays made or not. Custom trays require a dental impression of your teeth. They will make clear plastic "trays" to fit over your upper and lower teeth. They will be a perfect fit allowing you to use only the amount of bleach you need. None of the bleach is wasted this way, so you save on the cost of the product. You only need a small drop of the gel like substance for each tooth. Young people have very porous teeth and can use store bought bleaches such as Crest white strips or Rembrandt strips. If you have sensitive teeth the bleach will make them more sensitive. Fluoride can help that though. Try and get your hands on some MI paste.(Ask your dental professional if they can order it in) At least try and get a fluoride tooth paste and use that daily. If your really sensitive put the MI Paste or your Fluoride toothpaste in your trays for a while. Do not use Zoom in the experience of the office that I work in it burns your gingival tissues and heightens sensitivity beyond being bearable.

Approx Cost in Canadian$:

Custom trays $350.00 - $1000.00 inc. Bleach
Whitening strips $30.00 - $50.00

It will differ greatly depending on where you live. If you are in a major city it will be quite a bit more expensive. I work in the Midwest, not in a major city and our In office whitening includes the take home trays and 'touch up' gel and we charge $360. Take home alone is $260. I consider this to be a good price. I did hear from a patient that is going on a cruise and they will have a dentist onboard and they will do the same thing for only $200. Now that is cheap.
According to the latest survey on fees from Dental Economics (a dental magazine) the average is about $200 for take home and $600 for in office, but that is averaged from the lowest fee and the highest, which vary greatly!
I would call around to different office and see what the average is for your area. Even in your area the price can differ, so do your research!

It depends on the type of bleaching you are looking for.
In office bleaching is more expensive than take home bleaching, but in office bleaching will give you immediate results. Don't quote me on this, b/c I am a dental assistant and don't deal much w/ payments, but I think there is a $200 difference. Take home bleaching, I believe, can be between $400 and $600 (depending on your area and your dentist).
In my personal opinion... in office bleaching is the way to go if you are looking for a quick solution. Not all offices offer this method though.
Please realize that if you have any white fillings they will need to be replaced b/c they will not change shade like your natural tooth structure. This will cost extra.

300 dollars, the bleaching trays are really the way to go. Laser does not work well and it hurts like hell, makes the teeth very sensitive, where as the bleaching trays will last you as long as you keep them away from any type of heat. That way you could retouch in the privacy of your own home and the bleach doens;'t cost much. Laser touch us is very expensive - in the hundreds.
Good luck

There many prices because each dental office has their own fee they charge. Call the office u want to go to and ask them their price for whitening teeth, they run from $199 to $700. It also denpends on if u want to get teeth whitened in the office or u want to take the kit home to do yourself.

the word is bleached and it cost about 300 bucks. If you go to a dental school it can cost lower, about 100.

This is not available on NHS so the dentist can almost charge you whatever they like. Ask around for a quote.
