have a dentist. I don't have dental insurance. I have taken excellent care of my teeth, but a combination of an injury and side effects from medication have made a mess in my mouth and I am in pain and do not know where to turn. I wish I lived in a country where health/dental care was provided for. But I don't have the money or the energy and no dentist will help me. For some reason, the only solution that I seem to come up with is to end my life. Does anyone have any other options?

Does anyone else suffer from this and what do you do for relief?

I have a molar coming in, unobstructed, all the way in the back.. and I've had x-rays indicate I have other teeth that 'could' push their way through my otherwise flawless smile.

The dentist I had the x-rays from suggested oral surgery to remove the teeth that could come in. That was over 10 years ago. I chose not to do that surgery, based largely on my distrust for dentists, who are, of course, also trying to make a buck. That doesn't make them always wrong, however, and I want to know if anyone knows anything about wisdom teeth.

I've had friends let these obstructing teeth come in naturally, and they looked miserable as hell.

i haven't wore my bottom retainer for almost 3 years. my top retainers broke so i went back in and told them to fix it and how i noticed that my retainers on the top don't really straighten my teeth anymore. so he told me how it's because i haven't been wearing my bottom retainers so the bite probably messed it up. so then i started wearing the bottom retainers... but i realized that the acrylic plastic part is really compressing my gums... near the bottom of the tongue where the retainers fit. has this ever happened to anybody? do you know why it started not fitting into my gums perfectly like it should? it hurts whenevers i put it in now since it caused a sore. would it get better once the swelling goes down? thanks!

And are your braces metal or white?

that at some point my jaw gets mis-aligned and kind of locks and I have to angle it a certain way and slowly test it to see if I'm gonna be able to open it again . . .?

Like I'll be eating and then at some point it's like just opening I am about to break or dislocate the joint.

My guess is that when I had braces . . the orthodontist would make me hold my mouth so WIDE OPEN when he was working that I have trouble keeping it in the socket sometimes . . .Like I guess that the jaw joint is lax.

This makes me scared to go on dinner dates or places where I might be eating and this could happen. It's happened a number of times by myself in Mexican restaurants where they serve nachos as the appetizer on the table before you get your entre.

It's happened with my family out to eat and at home sometimes . . though we don't eat a lot of chips/nachos.

It's pretty much just with nachos, heavy chips . . maybe tacos . . anything where I open my mouth wide and then chew down.

there is no lower wisdom tooth for it to bite against, and, consequently, the tooth has slowly descended, perhaps 5mm, over a number of years.

It's kinda weird. I'm turning 11, yet I still have a lot of baby teeth. Is this a dental problem, or is this ordinary?

I've had bad breath for a while now and I thought I had fixed it when I switched to a non-alchohol mouthwash but surely I still have it. I brush twice everyday.. floss.. use my toungue scrubber, nothing. I'm going to make an appointment with a dentist but was wondering if there's anything I havent tried.

Also I think it's something with my toungue because when I lick my lips or sometimes when I dont, I get this white stuff on my lips which I have to wipe off. Dont know what's wrong, someone help!

The spacer is a small rubber band that was placed between her molar. It spit down the middle near the surface of the tooth. Do I have to take her back to the orthodontist to get it replaced or will it be ok for the rest of the week?

If you were to look at a childs skull, one that still had its baby teeth, but was at the agge to start losing them, would you see both sets of teeth? Like the adult teeth below the baby teeth? I'm assuming that the adult teeth dont just grow overnight, so they must be under there right? so do little kids skulls have 2 rows of teeth or am i just being silly?

I have teeth that need to be extracted (4). I have let them get soft, and they feel as if my fingernail can penetrate the tooth. I have loostened the teeth with a plier covered with a cloth, and plan on extracting them.

Is there any tricks to getting them out smoothly? I plan on having a friend remove any shards of tooth left in my jaw so that skin dosent grow around.

Tips? Tricks? Hints?
