i had them .. i got them off when i was 14 or 15.... i only had them for 2 years... not to long.. only minor problems.. but if u have them not they are worth it !!!!! i love my smile and i get complimented on it all the time.. good luck!!

I had metal braces for about 9 months i got them removed when i was 10

I had them off last year. I was 35 at that time. It is not very hip when you are in your 30's to have braces but it is worth it. I had clear braces on top and metal in the bottom. If you are planning for clear, ask your Orthodontist for Clarity by 3M Untiek. They are the best ceramic braces in the market. I know that fact for sure because I had them and use it for my patients. However, the clear braces do tend to stain. Good luck

I got braces when i was 22 and had them removed 2 years later. Mine were metal.

I had my top ones put on when I was 15 and the bottoms put on right before I turned 16. They were all removed when I was 19. I really didn't have that crooked of teeth, but I have a jaw disorder(TMJ) and they were trying to work on that stuff.
I had metal braces with with colored bands put on them!

I got my braces when I was 23 years old, used them for one year and a few months. They were metal and the look didn't really disturb me. You get used to them shortly. And I think to have them was the best decision I took in years. Now, I always get compliments about my teeth!

I was 17 and got them removed after a year and a half. Metal on the bottom, clear on the top because my upper teeth needed less work. I managed to avoid elastics, though they kept threatening me with them! Tip: don't get coloured elastics on clear braces; it looks ridiculous. Wish I'd known that... :(

i had braces when i was 16,and got them removed a month ago 18.they were metal ,hated them but it was worth it look at my beautiful teeth lol

i got mine when i was 15 1/2 and they were removed at 17. They were the ol' school metal ones. I hated them.

I got mine taken off my sophomore year in high school after wearing them for 4 years. My orthodontist wanted me to wear them longer but I told him to take them off. They were metal and hurt all the freaking time!
