Once the cavity is formed it is irreversible. If you do not get it taken care of, the infection will spread into dentin followed by pulp. Once it reaches pulp, the only alternative is root canal. I would prefer a simple restoration at this time rather than root canal and a crown later. Hope that helps

A cavity is when a piece of food has stayed on the surface of a tooth, and rotted into it, creating a hole. If you pile up grass next to a wooden fence, the same thing happens. It will rot a hole into the fence.
A cavity is a hole in the tooth. Theoretically the hole may get bigger, if the decay continues. The drill the dentist uses is to get rid of the infected part of the tooth that is rotting the tooth away. He/she drills until solid enamel is encountered, then it is filled so that nothing gets inside.
It won't go away without intervention unfortunately.

You can't make a cavity go away...all that's going to happen is it's going to get bigger and bigger and bigger and possibly even more painful (if it's not already). The bigger the cavity the higher the dental bill. You really need to get yourself to the doctor ASAP to get that taken care of.

I had the same questions. I have at least one cavity, if not more. I just made an appointment to get it checked out. I don't have insurance, so this is going to be hard. But it'll be worth it! It will get worse...I've noticed my hole for about a month, too.

if you have a cavity that has been identyfied get it filled as early as possible. it will only increase &over a time will start giving pain &all.so get it filled. brushing your teeth will keep your teeth &oral cavity clean. brushing is not a remedy&it will not prevent you from having cavities in future.use of flouride mouth wash can reduce the incedence of caries.
hope this will satisfy your question.

The longer you wait, the bigger, the more expensive and the more painful the whole thing is going to be.
Better get on the phone to reschedule the appointment.

It's not going to "grow back." Even if you brush well, it will only get bigger.
