Yes!! You can go to the dentist to have them use what is called a TENS unit - or you can get one prescribed if your insurance covers it. It hurts so much - I know.

The TENS unit is these little electrodes that have settings and different kinds of pulses and beats and they help with nerve damage and TMJ - it helped me - talk to your dentist and feel better! =)

theres a device you can get that you wear at night, like a guard to keep you from clenching. i have braces now, but when i was diagnosed with TMJ they told me the reason was because my jaw was out of alignment and I would clinch at night, causing pain later in the day. Heres a link to one product:

i was stabbed in the face and dislocated my jaw which resulted in TM i ended up having to go to the dentist and received some sort of electrical therapy for the muscles and i had to sleep with an acrylic dental appliance. i ended up losing it and had to buy something to replace it. i went to dick's and bought one of those mouthpieces that the football players use and it seemed to work .... you need to try one of those.

You need to see your dentist for professional help and if they don't specialize then they should refer you to the oral surgeon
