Pretty dang sure it will be a cost difference. When I 1st got braces the orthodontist gave me a choice of cermanic or metal. Ceramic costs a lot more (not sure how much exactly), so I got the metal. I bet ceramic is probably less painful and better looking since u don't have all that metal. Check ur budget and talk 2 ur dentist.

the bottom should cost less as its smaller and doesn't have to fit your roof of your mouth
