An oral surgeon that we had consulted with wanted to sell me Vicoden extra stregnth for my son's pain from wisdom teeth extractions. His reasoning was that it would cost less than getting the Rx filled at the drug store.

Grillz are the mouth pieces worn by some in the hip hop or rap industry. They look like they would prevent good dental hygiene. True or false?

I am going to have an orthodontic evaluation to see exactly what they need to do braces-wise. Should I do anything between now and then? What should I expect at this appointment? How long after the evaluation do they put braces on? My little brother had braces a while back, (his teeth were really bad) but I don't really remember what he went through (I wasn't paying a lot of attention I guess, plus I was getting ready to start college)

Are veneers better, or getting teeth bonded? I have two small teeth next to my two front teeth. But I want to get veneers so that my teeth will look all the way correct. If I were to get a bonding, I'd only get the two small teeth filled into full, normal teeth. So could someone tell me which is better?

He did a porcelen fused to a noble metal crown. Everything went well and the crown went in normal he gave me no special instructors other then not to eat on it within 24 hours. On saturday i went to a dinner party I was eating steak nothing hard like candy or anything. About 1/4 of the crown chipped off completley. THIS CROWN ONLY LAST 2 DAYS. I will need to return back to the dentist but my concern is now that WHO WILL PAY. Are there laws about dental work etc... Do dentist normally take the responsability. I don't want to get hit up for another grand.

From nearly perfect teeth to bad. My teeth aren't really bad but I need them. There is only one of my molars that is out of place and I'm just curious as to what they would most likely do.

It cost about $300-700 to get special made teeth guard, but I don't have that kind of money. Is there a way I can stop or find an alternative teeth guard until I can afford a real one?

I got crowns for 4 of my teeth after root canals about a year ago. One tooth was particularly temp sensitive just after i had the crown put on. Now...one year later that same tooth is bugging me again. If I eat or drink something really hot or cold I'll get a stinging pain in that tooth region. Anyone have any clues? Will it just go away like it did the first time? Just moved overseas and don't have medical coverage yet so I'm hoping this doesn't require a visit to the dentist.

I've got a really bad toothache, it started this morning and it's got worse through the day. It's there all the time and it's really really sore. I've already taken ibuprofen but it hasn't done anything to the pain. My mum's going to phone the dentist first thing tomorrow morning to get me an emergency appointment, but what can I do until then? I'm 14 years old. The tooth already has a filling in it from a few years ago, so I don't know what's wrong with it. Can it get a cavity even though it's already got a filling in it?

Please tell me how I can get rid of this pain, even just for a little while..........
