One of my back molars started hurting a few months back - it was intense pain at 1st - but now - sometimes a week can go by and it doesn't hurt - then I'll drink a cold soda or something and the pain comes back full force - to the point where my head feels like its going to explode. I probably need either a root canal OR to have the tooth pulled... but I'm afraid of going to the dentist.... when will the tooth just die and get it over with?

I just went to my dentist who advised me that i have to go see a periodontist regarding my receding gums. He also said i have to have deep scaling or deep cleaning first before he sends me to the periodontist & it's gonna cost me $720. Is this true that i really have to do this first? i know i do it eventually anyway, but i want see the periodontist first and know all the dental works necessary so i can prepare better, financially that is. Please advise.

I'm getting bored with the foods I have. Any suggestions other than Jell-O, applesauce, and squash soup? I'm sure I could think of some, but I'm still a little brain dead from the drugs.

I'm also bored, but unable to talk (for the most part) or move (slightly dizzy) and I'm tired of movies and internet. Help would be SO appreciated!

Thanks.

I have one of those crest spin brush things, but it doesn't seem to be doing a much better job! I'm also wasting a lot of $ on batteries!

I'm in my early 20's and I've never had one in my life. Lately when I eat certain foods cold hot sweet or stuck in my tooth it's achy. could this be a cavity or just sensitive teeth?

I'm sure it's a reason that makes sense, but I just don't know what it is.

I haven't flossed for about a week and a half because I finished my floss and kept forgetting to buy more. Anyway, today I finally remembered and I just flossed my teeth......and the gums are bleeding a LOT. Not between every single tooth, but in several different areas there's a lot of blood. I'm bleeding more now than I did when I first started flossing a few months ago.

Is that bad? Should I be worried about it? I bled for a while when I started flossing, but it had pretty much stopped apart from a couple of places, now I seem to be bleeding all over again, and bleeding more than I did then.

I'm relatively happy with the colour of my teeth, I might get them whitened at some point in the future, but it's not something which greatly concerns me at the minute.

But I got some photos back recently, and looking through them, my canines appear really yellow in comparison to my other teeth. When I look in the mirror, they are a bit more yellow than my front teeth, but it was really obvious in the photos.

Why is this? And is there anything I can do about it cheaply?
