Dentist has advised removing the tip of the adjacent incisor and after removing the infected root anchoring a double crown to the stump of the good incisor. This seems a very lop sided arrangement to me and very liable to fail.
Is a conventional bridge possible.

My tooth broke off, It broke below the gum line. Hurts like nothing I have ever imagined before. Will the ER fix it or do I have to go see a dentist. Its throbbing pretty bad, I am dizy and its kinda swelled.....Is this something that should be considered an emergency?

I went to the dentist four days ago because I had swollen gums near one of my teeth (next to a capped one) with a bit of pain. The dentist tells me that the x-rays don't show anything. Four days later and the pain unbearable..I have a swollen jaw and tons of canker sores in that area (even by the tooth). My jaw has a knot in it and the pain is just AWFUL! Could there be a problem with my capped tooth?? If so, what can be done about it??

I had a dream about biting down too hard (I wasn't eating anything) so I lost 5 teeth and the blood tasted so real. Could this dream mean anything?

One of my guy friends has his two front teeth a little longer than the rest, and then he filed them down to match the rest. And I don't know if that was so good for him or not...? Should I tell him to go to a dentist or is it fine?

Is there a certain type of tooth paste you are supposed to use if you have braces? Do you just use any old toothpaste?

I have 2 teeth that have broken because they are decaying and I have numerous cavities that need filled. I’m so scared to go to the dentist because the last one I went to was very rough with my mouth. My gums for the most part seem to be fine but I know I have an abscess in one of the teeth that is broken in the back. The other broken tooth is in the front and I really don’t want it pulled because then I will forever be too embarrassed to smile(I already cover my mouth when I laugh because it embarrasses me soo much). One of my biggest fears is losing my teeth and having to get dentures but yet I’m still so scared to go to the dentist because of the pain. I also have no insurance and can’t even afford the work anyway. What do I do??!!!

I have a co-worker and she always talks to me. Her bad breath is killing me. I let it slide for a couple of weeks, but it’s a constant thing. How do I let her know without hurting her feelings?

When I was younger I had my premolars extracted for braces. The braces pretty much closed the gaps to the extent you wouldn't know I was missing a tooth there, but in the top right the gap is slightly bigger than in the other places. Food always gets stuck in it and I'm constantly having to floss to get rid of it, which irritates the gum a lot.

If I went to the dentist, what could they do to try to close the gap to stop food getting stuck in it all the time?

I recently had root canal on an upper tooth because I was having pain in it. I was also having pain in the tooth directly beneath it. My endodontist assured me this was just "referred pain" from the upper pain and that after I have the root canal done on the upper tooth, the pain in the bottom tooth should disappear. Well, it hasn't. X-rays show nothing going on in the lower teeth so I am confused. Does anyone know what can be going on here?

I had my wisdom extracted Tuesday, today is Friday! I only took 3 of the 16 pain pills. The side effects were worse than the relief! I used ice pack, tylenol, salt rinse...whining, holding my cheek, not talking, slight talking, called the dentist back...

My jaw, my tooth hurts, it's making my two front teeth very sensitive!

Why can I do to ease this irriation? It's making me very grumpy! I don't do well not feeling well!
