I had my wisdom extracted Tuesday, today is Friday! I only took 3 of the 16 pain pills. The side effects were worse than the relief! I used ice pack, tylenol, salt rinse...whining, holding my cheek, not talking, slight talking, called the dentist back...

My jaw, my tooth hurts, it's making my two front teeth very sensitive!

Why can I do to ease this irriation? It's making me very grumpy! I don't do well not feeling well!

Get your doctor to give you some lortabs 10/500's or generic Hydrocodone. The side effects are great! and they will help a lot.

i had one of my wisdom teeth pulled last week and all i did was to eat the painkillers that the dentist gave me. but for some reason my dentist was a moron and left two pieces of my tooth in my mouth which is very painful now that i dont have any more painkillers left. i have been using oragel it numbs the pain for about ten to fifteen minutes at a time.

Let your dentist know immedietly if the pain pills are making the pain worse! and try to take your mind off of it. Play some video games. Link below.

Serratiopeptidase with diclofenac? Why both?

Besides, few if any dentists ever prescribed the former. I know I haven't. And I only prescribed the latter when doing my hospital residency.

We get great results with the narcotic/apap combos.

Take more painkiller but the ones that agree with you. Then try to relax. Let the dentist know that he caused more pain than helped.

This was an awful experience for me too, and I can't help you with advice about how to ease the pain.... but I do have some advice for you.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU FIRST EAT WHEN YOU FEEL BETTER! Whatever it is, you will be miserable eating it, and you will never want to eat it again. I used to love lemon cake....

You should have been given a narcotic. Something like vicoden. I can't imagine having oral surgery without getting those meds. Usually vicoden plus 800 to 1600 mg of motrin works.

I'm just writing in support of amelie's excellent answer. The two biggest concerns are risk of damage to a nerve of the sinus. If the root tips are inded "tips" and not half the root, they will probably be better off left in place.
