If you really have bad breath then you need to be deligent with the following solution:
DO NOT SKIP NOT EVEN 1 DAY!!!
1. Rinse mouth with Liserine for 60 seconds.
2. Floss every tooth completely.
3. Brush your teeth for 5 minutes (clinical studys report that the average person does NOT brush long enough to combat bad breath and plaque, and 5 minutes is MINIMUM time needed to do so) Don't forget to brush your tounge also.
4. Rinse your mouth with Listerine for 60 seconds.

Make sure that you brush your teeth, floss, and use mouthwash. And do this more than once a day. At least twice or even 3 times if possible. And when you brush your teeth don't rush through it take your time and make sure that you get everything including your tongue. And try and use a good name brand toothpaste Colgate or something like like. And when you use mouthwash more than 30 secs. if possible. And when you floss floss between every tooth. But don't floss to hard. And try and keep gum, breath mints, or tic tacs with you at all times. And if you can try not to eat food with onions, garlic, or anything that will leave a really strong smell. Well that's the best advice i could give.

You can brush with colgate 3 times a day be sure to floss so that any smelly foods wont be stck between your teeth when you brush your teeth be sure to brush your tounge so that its a healthy looking pink and sometimes I even brush the roof of my mouth because if your tounge stinks when your close your mouth your tounge touches the top and whatever plaque is on your tounge transfers to the roof of your mouth and will cause bad breath even after brushing and after every meal slip in a listerine strip

Avoid eating lots of onions and garlic until you're home for the day. Also drinking tea and coffee during the day is a gamble.
And smoker's breath is SO bad.
Brush, floss, rinse with mouthwash.
Also consult a dentist. It could be a medical problem.

Well, breath is caused by what's going on with your saliva, and digestive tract. I suspect that if you eat better food and drink more water, you will have better breath.
You could also carry around gum or mouthwash or something of that sort or brush your teeth after every meal.
