i had teeth pulled recently myself to create more space. just relax, they will probably give you a shot of novacaine. i had to stay awake to get my teeth pulled. i had 2 premolars pulled.. (theyre the smaller molars before the real ones). i got 1-2 shots on each side. it wasnt as bad as i thought it would. don't psyche yourself out!! its REALLY not that bad AT ALL.

It's OK.

Talk to the Dentist or his assistant before you go in. Tell them your scared, about the pain , or whatever. See how they can help.

Some dentists even prescribe Valium for the night before, for their really scared patients. Nitrous oxide helped me a lot. If this is an impacted tooth, you might want to consider general anesthesia.

I've been through this - including the terrified part. I didn't find it
very painfully afterward - and i didn't feel ANYTHING during. Afterword, let's say a day later, it felt like a bruise to me.

Oh, yes, the hole where you expect a tooth to be will drive you crazy for several days.

I've had a tooth pulled and it isn't so bad. I wasn't put under though, are you going to be? If you are it'll be a piece of cake. If not don't worry the only part that hurts is the shot and it only lasts about five seconds. The anxiety of it is the worst part. You'll do fine.

They usually give you novacaine or laughing gas. Some type of numbing drug like that, so you won't feel any pain WHILE its being pulled. Possibly after, it might be a little sore, gargling with warm salt water helps this. It just might be irritating/annoying more than anything. Eat soft foods afterwards.

well, hopefully you can have sedation dentistry. I have had 6 teeth pulled recently and if it wasn't for the needle in my arm, i would of freaked. Didn't feel a thing, and woke up not knowing that I was at the dentist at all.

Take some pain killers before you so when the anesthetics wear off, you won't feel so much pain.
