One of my friends just had her doctor recommend that she gets a flu shot. However, I've heard that flu shots aren't all that they're cracked up to be, and they even include toxic stuff! Are they safe? Or are they really bad?

Okay. I'm 19, and I have BPD. I was diagnosed with it a few years ago, I was on medications, and started to feel "better" and I was 16 and dumb, so I took myself off of them. I had tried for the past few years to help myself. It's not working so well. I need help, but I don't have health insurance anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions? Are there free counseling websites, or anything like that? No sarcastic remarks either, please.

I've developed an extremely painful perineum lump that's about the size of a dime. I noticed it last week and since then it's grown and become more painful; irritating to sit or walk. I don't think it's a Bartholin Cyst though due to it's location. To be a bit more graphic it's closer towards the anus than the vaginal entrance, and I've noticed a significant increase of vaginal discharge since discovering the lump. I'm just having a difficult time finding any information about perineum lumps and what to expect. I'll be scheduling a doctor's appointment for this week in the morning.

He died two months later.

What does poor circulation come from and can you die from it.

I have a 92 year old grandpa which is complaining of headaches. He had an MRI done and it showed no tumors or anything. I am his grandson so i am not aware of a lot of details, but i know that supposedly he had a mild stroke and i heard his brain is either shrinking in size or enlarging do to old age. He is also sleeping very long and is tired all day long according to my parents. I just want to know what could cause this, he is very healthy no problems and always walks.

I fell yesterday and all of my body weight fell full force against the side of the tub across my abdomen. I am really sore on my right rib cage and don't know if it is just bruised or if I cracked a rib. There is no visual bruising. How can you tell the difference? I am having my gallbladder removed on Wed. This soreness is NOT my gallbladder. It is definitely from the fall. Will this affect the surgery at all?

I have a crowned front tooth (9 years old and no root canal)) and for a couple of days now I have had extreme heat and cold sensitivity. Sharp pain even if I go outside in the cold, cold drinks, warm tea etc. Goes away pretty fast. Chewing is okay too. Now I know that I have to go to the dentist and I know what is going to happen there. After all I have 17 crowns, root canals, re-treated root canals, operations, countless hours in the chair and thousands of dollars in my mouth. My question is only is there a chance this will go away on its own or does it sound too severe and I might need a root canal. Also is there a way he can treat it through the crown? I am just trying to make it to January 1st and for my insurance to start again. Yeah I will burn through that real fast. Brushing with Sensodyne now LOL!

I recently had spinal fusion surgery and as a result was partially paralyzed from my last rib and below for a month and a half. Because of this my abdominal muscles have suffered severely. I am flexible enough to do a sit-up, but I no longer have the abdominal strength. My doctor said that a strong core is necessary to ensure healing properly, as well as less discomfort. I know that by attempting to do sit-ups, I am tightening my abdominal muscles, and they get a workout, but what are some other exercises that I could do for increasing my ab strength?
I can move my legs, but my right leg has muscle atrophy still from being paralyzed, so something like bicycle kicks is out of the question.

I have been having throbbing bone pain around my hip/femur and knee bones. It has gradually gotton worse over time.

Sometimes it hurts to exercise/ but not often. The pain is wayyy worse at night.
I also sometimes get the pains in my other leg.

The other day my dad mentioned that he thought the doctor said I had a possibility of having displaced hips - what does that mean??

Do my symptoms sound like Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis ?
Or something else?

Thanks

Sometimes it takes me so long to catch my breathe. I can't even breathe under the covers. When I walk up the stairs or run I seem to have a really hard time getting my breath back.
