I know its called something like lycopenia. and ive gone to the doctors office to get a referrel to a blood specialist but they havent gotten back to me. is this a serious problem or can i stand to wait it out a bit more?

if its lukemia yes, it is a a very serious problem and could be cancer. but maybe they can catch it before it does turn. i think some lukemia is treatable. after alot of blood work the specialist will tell you if its a bone marrow type of lukemia. good luck & god bless.

Lack of a specific kind of marrow? Also... leukemia is the cancer of leukocyctes (white blood cells). I don't mean to scare you, and I'm sure that's not your problem. I am just informing you about something.

Caused by a defect in the immune system (immunocompromise) such as from a genetic or metabolic disorder (like diabetes) or a microbial infection (such as HIV or other kind of infection) or from immunosuppression (from certain medical procedures, such as chemotherapy or transplantation)
