Stress is a symptom of B complex deficiency. To alleviate extreme anxiety and stress you really do need to ensure that you are getting enough vitamin B12 in your diet........ other symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency are headaches and migraines, nausea and vomiting, fatigue and exhaustion, irritability and moodiness, dizzy spells, loss of balance, insomnia and constipation, inability to think clearly, excessive sweating, tingling and prickling and numbing sensations in the outer extremities and even chest pains and heart palpitations !!

Quite scary actually if you don't realise the vitamin factor.

Eat more foods rich in this vitamin ie: skimmed milks and cheeses, fish and eggs. If you are vegetarian or lactose intolerant (which I am) then it is really important for yoou to supplement your diet with a good quality multi B complex supplement including all the B's ie: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12 as they work best together.

The B complex of vitamins is a water soluble complex and as such our bodies can neither store or produce them. Therefore we need to ingest them on a daily basis or suffer the consequences as you unfortunately are..... When we are under extra stress our bodies will generally use up our stores of B12 (and the other B vitamins) pretty quickly..... every day living such as new job, a new home, school studies or Christmas pressure like bills and pressies - all cause added stress.

Try to cut right back on vitamin B complex thieves such as caffeine, tea, alcohol, soft drinks and sodas, and tinned foods ........... things such as antiobiotics, antidepressants, laxatives, aspirin, cholesterol lowering drugs such as Questran Lite and diuretics will all also rob you of your precious B complex vitamins.

Also, eat more foods rich in the magnificient little mineral Magnesium ie: leafy and green vegies, nuts and seeds, cold water fishes such as salmon, sardines, tuna and whiting and wholegrains and cereals.

Magnesium is known as the antistress mineral.

Magnesium is needed by the human body to maintain healthy veins and arteries and for heart health........

Most importantly of all though, be nice to you and take some time out each day for you..... even if it's just to have a nice long soak in a yummy warm bath. Nothing better than a relax in the bath after a hard day at work.

Oh, make sure your calcium intake is adequate also...... calcium is vitally important for healthy neural and digestive functioning. The lactose in milk is one of the major components of the digestive process as that is where the human body gets the material it needs to provide good gut flora. So just include some more skimmed milk and low fat dairy or suplement if you are intolerant ........... i supplement calcium by dumping a litre of milk in a warm bath each night and get my quota that way!! Avoids the digestive system and absorbs straight through your skin into your blood stream. Believe it, it calms you down sooo much.

Good health to you and yours♥

When mine gets bad and I start having panic attacks and can't sleep I take Stress Relief by NatraBio. It's a natural homeopathic tablet that you chew a little and then let dissolve. I got it from a friend and then bought some from DrugStore.com. It just has chamomile, hops, wild oat, passionflower, black cohosh, quinine, postassium phosphate, calcium, and silicea but it helps alot if you take it when you first start feeling it getting bad.

There is a product called "Bliss" and it's a natural way to manage stress with supplements. You usually pair it with a product called Isotonix OPC-3 which protects your body from the effects of stress.

When you stress out your body secrets toxins that eventually build up and literally chokes your cells causing many other ailments like heart disease, high blood pressure, strokes and so forth.

Check it out. Search OPC-3 and Bliss

Good Luck
