my friend told me that between her legs, there are hard lumps that are small. they eventually get smaller and smaller and disappear, but as one disappears, another one appears but gets smaller... etc. she told me it has been happening for about 3 weeks.

I want to know if Doctors wait for an ethically better time to tell you that you have cancer. Do doctors hold off telling you, you have cancer till a later time...or do they tell you right after the procedure..ie. colonoscopy, lower gi.

So my aunt finally convinced me to make an appt with a psychiatrist. She said severe mood swings/attn deficiency (failing in school after being straight A student), etc, may need to be checked out. I made the appt...and after the initial phone interview he asked me if anyone ever told me I'm bipolar, which I said no. I haven't seen him yet, but I'm not sure if I should. Do you think it'll help me/should I go? If he gives me a wrong diagnosis for whatever reason the medicine wont hurt me right (bipolar meds? I know i have mood swings but I don't know how severe they have to be for meds.)

We had a practice in IV therapy back in September, my classmate used one of my veins. The next day, it bruised, and was gone after a week. But that vein (the site of insertion) still hurts for a few days and vanished. But occasionally it still hurts, what could be possibly wrong? Could it be a blood clot or something?

I had day surgery yesterday to remove a breast lump. I was told I could remove the larger bandages today (which I did) & to leave the tape that's over the incision. I was also told I can shower tommorrow but I'm worried that the tape might get loose when it get's wet? I'm assuming it must be ok if they told me I can shower but won't the water seep through?

I have been diagnosied with PTSD and Major Depression and a couple of other things but those two seem to be the most common. I have been having some syptoms that I am not sure about. I get really paranoid. At times I think people are talking about me but are talking in "code" to try to confuss me so I can't really confront them in talking about me or so I wont know. At times I think that everyone is out to get me and are all teaming up against me but pretend to be my friend. At times I think people are goingf to kill me in my sleep. At times I think that there are camera's everywhere and people are watching me. I get so freaked out that I ca't even sleep. I know how crazy and dumb this sounds but I can't get past it. It seems to be getting worse. I don't feel like this all the time and sometimes are more sever than others. I have experminted with drugs in the past but not a ton and not in awhile. I am 21. What could this be? I really don't think I am syopphranic...

I feel as tho I can't focus properly and my eyes want to go all over the place when I try so stare at one item. I get headaches about 2 times a week or more and my eyes often get sore. Sometimes my head will hurt in one spot also like at the back or something and i'll feel like its it in my brain? This may not have anything to do with it.. I also feel like my vocabulary has decreased and I have a hard time saying what I want to say and like im fumbeling to find the right words. It makes me feel stupid especially because I come from a smart family..What could this be? I will see a doctor but what so you think this could be?

I have an exam (planned parenthood) scheduled for Friday, and I'm scared that I might get my period before then. If I do am I supposed to call and cancel? Because that seems kinda gross to go at that time of the month, but obviously I have no idea because this is my first time going!

I'm 14 years old, a freshman in high school and I'm thinking about joining the swim team next year. Problem is, I have my period and I've always used pads. My period lasts about 3 days (and yes I know it's shorter than most girls' periods, but I've checked with my doctor and she says it's normal for a teenager, especially with all the hormonal changes now and such), 5 the most, and it's only on the 2nd day that my period heavier than the 1st or 3rd (last day). I know that girls who swim on swim teams/competitively use tampons, but I kinda have a slight fear because I heard that it will hurt when your flow is too light, and I don't know how to, even though I've read instructions online from valid sites and have seen step by step cartoon pictures that show you how. Basically, I'm not sure if I'm really "suitable" to use tampons, and would like some serious advice from other teen girls. Thanks!

I went to the doctors on the 2nd of this month, while waiting in the waiting room. I fainted, and started twitching(like a seizure), got test ran on me at the hospital, just recently got my EEG results back, they say it was not a seizure. So I went to the head doctor today and he said my sytmoptoms(bad headches, dizzyness, getting really hot, and being lightheaded) is not somethin going on with my head and he said I need to see a heart doctor. What could be wrong with me? If anything.

I cant eat solid foods for 10 days and from then until a month from now I will be on mush. I want to keep my wieght since by BMI is already freakishly low at 18 and I want to keep my muscle (Six-pack abs for example) that I worked my *** off to get for the last three months. How do I get the energy to keep my muscle strength definition during surgery recovery because I dont want to lose it.

for like about a week already I noticed I have rosey cheeks and I normally have a pale complexion. It's not from the cold cuz it happens even indoors. I am also not embarrassed for 7 days straight and have not stood on my head recently. My cheeks are warm when I touch them and I dont feel like I have a fever. I ask bc/I swear I have everything, diagnosed by psychiatrists and self-diagnosed. I have been told I have bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, anxiety (umm axis 2 or whatever), and bulimia. And as for what I say I also have is insomnia (thats just never been put on paper), ADD (on Strattera for it), and maybe schizo features (term from what I gather from psych 100 college class? Have had voices since jr high but I don't want to go on meds for it again, nor do I ever wish to discuss it w/anyone ever again. So I deny it)? When I think about all that I just wonder if I'm just really crazy, cause I'm usually high functioning (aside from some hospitalizations), or if its all just a part of one problem. Any thoughts? cause I'm really feeling like a complete weirdo here. Or is anyone else in a similar situation?

in october ; on the 10th it came for the first time.
now its november 13, and it hasnt come, well i gotten really bad cramps i couldnt even stand the whole day at school and stuff but other then that, no blood, but horrible stomach, cant walk, and way more, then nasty.. oh well, you dont need to know more. whats wrong? and within how many times will you notice your boobs are bigger? the second time you had it? because, i feel they are, kinda, they are still small. i'm just wandering.. and thankyou. i'm 12, to.
