Make a list of all your problems, or whatever it is you don't like, and tackle them one at a time...you can change anything you want to. Have faith in yourself. Don't set unreasonable goals, or expect immediate results. Things take time, hard work, and dedication.
I have been where you are, and I just kept telling myself that there just HAS to be something better than this! and I just knew that I had to keep on going....no way in hell was I going to let other people, or the stupid world, or even my own fears, keep me from making something of myself, and getting through it. I control my life. I knew there just had to be a light at the end of the tunnel, as they say....and there is.....it will come.
Try to look at things in a different light; take the good from the bad, and learn from it...move on...and hang in there.

If you feel like you want to "run away", either you are overwhelmed by the problems in your life or you have been working so much (and not getting your needs met) that you are in "burn out".

I don't know what your life is like but I have some suggestions. Look at the problems in your life and the amount of work that you are doing. When you do this, are some of the things you feel are your problems, really someone elses problems?

Is some of the work that you are doing, work that someone else should be doing? If that is the case, let those other people solve their own problems and do the work necessary to accomplish that.

Do you have problems saying "No", to people. If so, tell everyone "no" to any new work that they want you to do.

Then look at the amount of work that you have to do and how much time you have to do it in. Set up a schedule that allows you to have some personal time each day, even if it is only 15 min. in the AM and 15 min. in the PM.

Is someone treating you in an abusive or domineering way? Confront them on this and tell them that if they want to continue to have a relationship with you, that they will need to stop it. Then follow through on this.

I don't know if any of these things apply to you but they are common reasons why someone feels trapped and like running away. Often it is a case of a person feeling that they have no control over their life because they are letting people or circumstances control them, rather that being assertive about things.

If any of these suggestions or questions apply to you, you are not alone. Many of us either have the same problems or used to have these problems until we learned how to deal with them.

You may need to have someone help you with this. Sometimes a good counselor can help you to become successfull at doing this. If you have had parents or loved ones with alcoholic behavior, you might find additional help at Adult Children of Alcoholic support groups. I just mention this as having a parent or loved one with alcoholic behavior can cause a person to develop these kinds of problems.

I hope something I have said has been helpful. You have my best wishes.

I know exactly how you feel. I try to just get through a day at a time and sometimes that is rough. I can't seem to find a light at the end of the tunnel, but hang in there for my 7 year old daughter. Stress has made me quite ill in the last few years. I can't sleep, have ulcers, severe anxiety, and depression. I feel trapped in this life too, but it has to get better and that's what I try to think to keep going. It's tough, but try working on a little at a time and one problem at a time. Good luck-I feel for you

Yes, especially lately! I've never read the quran but I have meditated and prayed and this has helped me. So far, I've been pretty good at Silva Meditation. I can do their guided meditations online. I also like Belief net, and Lessons in Truth by H. Emilie Cady. But, I'll tell you what woman, sometimes just looking at pretty Angel Paintings online, going for a walk, taking a bath, lighting some candles, and yes, even doing the masterbation thing in private--really helps! If you can get your mind off from whatever is bothering you for even a short while--it should help. I hope I have helped you.

I have felt like this before...so I did some research , went to a health food store and ended up getting a juice called Goji bery juice. It helps with your mood, energy and even weight. I started to feel better. Not a caffiene energy a normal ..I want to get out of bed today and I actually feel good is what I started to do after about a week. To boot all my blood tests came back normal when they were high the year before. Ask your health food store. Honestly My mood went from a D to a B+ thats huge. cost 30 bucks a month.

I'm in the same boat, the last few months just keep getting worse, I feel like driving my car into a pole, but with my luck I will live and then have huge hospital bills. I did start smoking to help with the stress but I'm sure I'll get lung cancer soon. Never get a break

Yes I have had times like that and its not very nice. Try and think of any positives you have in your life and be with or speak to people you enjoy being around. Anything that is making you feel this way, you must stay away from. I know this is the simple answer, but visit your Doctor. Hope things get better.

Yeah, I'm in the same rut. It's not like me, but lately all I want to do is eat, smoke, sleep, work (only cuz I have no choice) and check the questions and answers on this computer. Usually I am so energetic and people have to tell me to slow down, so I don't know what my problem is. I hope I get out of it soon, because my house is getting dusty! lol

That you wish time would stop so you could fix everything then pick up and go again. every day. My g/f just broke up with me and i have plenty of thoughts on my mind that i dont know and almost dont care what i do any more. Just try to do what you can to stop breath and relax for a moment, talk to someone about whats going on.

I feel like that a lot right now. I just keep putting one foot in front of the other. I just keep breathing, sometimes that has to be enough to get you through whatever obstacle you are facing.
