Do yourself a HUGE favor...Don't..but say you did.
Douching throws off the natural PH of your vagina, and can actually cause more harmful bacteria to grow, leading to yeast infections. Your husband should inform himself, and grow up. What a jerk.

Deucing is a money making scam, in my opinion. We have the natural ability that our body takes care of for cleaning our vaginas. If your husband can't appreciate all the sacrifices that you made to give him a child, than I wouldn't have sex with him. You shouldn't feel dirty. Your husband should really think about all that you have done because I'm sure he would never have handled a pregnancy and birth. I'm sorry if I am upsetting you with what I am saying about your husband, but I think he is being totally unreasonable. He is the one who has a problem. You are wonderful and gave him so much.

A douch is known to strip you of your natural secretions which protect the lining of the vagina. I would go out and buy the doush product. drain it down the toilet. but a nice body spray and make yourself smell nice.Toss the box and container into the restroom trash and act as if it is a job that has been done.
Oders from sex can remain strong. In the future if you have sex don't linger go and wash up instead of let it wait. This animalistic smell is what keeps them comming back for more.
Your husband is not a woman and he is misinformed.
best wishes

You'd be looking for a douche. Doctors don't really recommend them. If you're having a bad odor then you may have an infection. Sounds like your hubby just has a few leftover feelings about the birth of the baby. Tell him to get an enema and then you'll think about the douche.

I will definetely agree with everyone else....avoid the whole douche thing....and your husband is being extremely incosiderate for saying that!
Just take a nice long bubble bath, rinse yourself off..and you're fine...and if it really comes down to it, just tell your husband that you douched even if you dont. If it was my husband I'd rather go without the sex if he's gonna have that attitude!

lupita, first of all dont use this stuff. its bad for you and not recommended ever! secondly, see ur ob/gyn for a check up if u feel uncomfortable with urself, (odor or discharge) other than that, ur hubbie isnt very supportive and probably is looking for an excuse not to be intimate with u. either that or his mother really did a number on him.LOL! whatever u do, dont let ur man get u down girlfriend, u just gave birth to a beautiful baby, be happy and dont worry about him, ur baby and u need to come first. take good care.

DON'T DO IT! Douche is an archaic product and is very condusive to urinary tract infections. There is nothing douche can do to "clean you up", and you're husband needs a swift kick in the ***. You're natural body is fine, and how is he going to know if you do it? Shower regularly and everything will be fine!

honey, just take a bath! seriously! save your money. just take a regular medium warm bath and soak in it. you can always use some of the bath water to cleanse with. once done with the bath, rinse of with clean shower water.
as for douching, it will only get the inside of the vagina, not the uterus.

what does having a baby have to do with feeling dirty? your hubby is an ******. there is no need to "clean yourself" in this method and it's actually not good for you. it's throws of your pH balance and can create worse problems.

It is called a douche. It helps to clean out the vagina. You can purchase one at any drug store.
You should speak to your doctor about douching because it is NOT necessary, because a womans body will clean itself out after their period.
