I cant eat solid foods for 10 days and from then until a month from now I will be on mush. I want to keep my wieght since by BMI is already freakishly low at 18 and I want to keep my muscle (Six-pack abs for example) that I worked my *** off to get for the last three months. How do I get the energy to keep my muscle strength definition during surgery recovery because I dont want to lose it.

My friend, you have a wonderful chance to get yourself even healthier! I suggest the following:
RBC Spirulina powder (www.582356.royalbodycare.com)
RenewPro whey protein....none better (www.wellwisdom.com)
Enzyme supplement, such as bromelain or NutriZyme tohelp with healing, digestion and reducing inflammation
and veggies!

Throw it all in a Vitamix blender and it will puree ANYTHING to a drinkable consistency. The spirulina and RenewPro are superior forms of protein that will help you retain your muscle mass....even better than meat.

I also agree that yoga is a wonderful, healing practice that will keep your body toned without stressing it after such a procedure. Combine it with some core strengthening exercises and you will be good to go.

Good Luck!

Carisa

Do yoga, I know it's like uh... but it actually helps you keep unstressed (relaxed) and it's good for your mind and you stretch to become more flexible and fit. It actually helps you lose weight! You can also run, stop when your jaw hurts though! do some situps, slowly and also gardening, cleaning your house and mowing the lawn and walking and skipping are good things to stay fit and in shape! Hope you feel better after sugery! And you can make your own healthy and yummy mush:

oatmeal

blend salad and salad dressing to make a mushed up salad

eggs can be mushed with tuna and celery!!!

10 DAYS WON'T KILL YOU!!. Fix you food as normal but put it in a blender. Make yourself a fruit smoothie, or a veggie smoothie. Same food just prechewed for you. As soon as you feel like continue exercise (low impact) no jogging. Lots of fruits and veggie will pump up your ability to heal. limited meat and no dairy.
