I got new prescription reading glasses but anything that is less than 15 inches or more than 18 inches is blurry. Is this right? Is the range of clear vision supposed to be that small?

For the past couple of hours or so, I've been having a bad headache, a sharp pain on the left, slightly above it eye.

I mean, it's the headache kind of pain, not any outside physical pain on my forehead.

May I know what could possibly cause this? Should I be worried about it...

Thank you

ok, a couple weeks ago i noticed a zit or a bump on the underside of my penis. it got a little bigger over the next day or so...but i rubbed alcohol on it and the next day it went away. then a week later another one appeared in a different area of my penis and i did the same alcohol treatment and that one went away. ok i don't want to get tested cause i know they stick a q-tip up your penis hole and that doesn't sit right with me. so do you think i have an STD or is that sort of thing just normal?

My father-in-law has been diagnosed with colon cancer and secondary liver cancer. He has just had surgery to remove the affected part of his colon, but the liver cancer is inoperable. He will undergo radiation and chemotherapy once he recovers from the surgery. The doctor has said, depending on how he responds to treatment, that he may have as little as 2 months or as long as 5 years to live.

My question is regarding my husband. He lost his mother to breast cancer 9 years ago and now he is going through it all over again with his father. I know he is hurting, but he's very unwilling to talk about it. He and his father are very close. On top of it all, he is now becoming pessimistic about his own health, knowing that both of his parents will have died young.

I am doing the best I can to imagine how he is feeling, but I know I can't really understand. Can anyone offer any advice on things I should say to him? I have tried optimism, but he doesn't want to hear it.

I just had one last night while I was getting other dental work done and was just wondering how long it takes for the gum to heal afterwards. Also, are there any things that you could suggest to help speed along the process?

I was never forced to act on anything, but i have some crazy thoughts sometimes such as, ever since i was little i was terrified of heights because i thought i was going to jump off, and i would have these weird ideas of jumping off, and even though i never would i was scared i could. Also, i have weird sexual thoughts too, sometimes i cant stop thinking of weird sexual scenarios, but im act completely normal and no one would ever suspect anything of the sort. I actually have great people skills and dont overreact in tough situations at all. Also, i kind of have conversations with myself. Lik ill stay locked up in my room (mainly because i hate my family, i had an abused childhood and im 17) and ill talk to myself making up stories and situtuations where i would basically act out a play with a mirror and play multiple parts, i used to do this a lot when i was little, but not so much anymore. Im going to see a psychologist in a week, and i was just wondering if im schizo?

I am female 5'9, 19 years old and i weight about 140 pounds. I walk/light jog for 30 minutes and exercise at a moderate pace for 15-20 minutes on the elliptical trainer about 4/5 times a week. Sometimes i swim for half an hour too... but i seem to have hit a weight loss plateau. I know my diet is ok because i lost some weight, but now i seem to have stopped. Im trying to lose 5/6 pounds. I wonder if it could be that i added carbs back to my diet? just special K cereal in the mornings (1 cup with non fat milk) and 2 small slices of whole grain bread each day. I dont really eat carbs after 6pm, i usually have protein and veggies for dinner. I just really want to get rid of these 5/6 pounds, should i cut out the carbs?
