Hello. For my 18th birthday I was gonna go and get my lip pierced, the only problem is that my job does not allow them in the work place. He said I could get a holder but there's the whole healing process. I wanted to know if there was any actual risk of anything if after I got the lip ring I'd take it out every day and put a holder in it's place. Is that a risk for infection or something? Thanks

Sweetest Day is this Friday, and I want to do something special for her. I am planning a romantic getaway, but I want it to be a complete surprise. So, I've decided it would be best if she's sleeping through the whole plane ride, and wakes up right when we arrive!

How much ether do I need to knock her out for a good five hours? Or is there something else I can give her? I want to be safe and all, but she has to be completely passed out. Thanks!

I wanted to know from previous experience from anyone if a pregnancy occured if you failed to take the pills at at the exact same time each day. I have missed taking my pills by a few mins or so but within the say hour. For example, my meds are due at 12:30pm every day. Sometimes I forget and take them at 12:45, 12:40, etc. Does this decrease the effectiveness or does it apply to when you miss the pill by a few hours or days? The name of my pill is Ortho-Novum 7/7/7?

Friends are commenting on my weight loss, but I still feel overweight. My BMI is still on the high side. I'm not unhealthy.

I do exercise quite a bit, and would rather ride my bicycle 10 or 20 miles than get a ride.

I LOVE to eat. I will stuff myself at times, but don't purge.

I'm not thin, but people have been commenting because I have a history of addiction and such, and people (friends who are therapists included) are often commenting on my weight loss over the past year or so (From size 14 / 16 pants to size 11 ... I'm not tiny) and making comments about anorexia athletica and such.

Should I be concerned, or what?

We share 50/50 custody with my husbands 7year old daughter. We have been the only parents involved in any and all school and sports activities for the past 3 years. Her mother has never met her teachers, not once and our daughter has been asked to be retained in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades due to slow learning skills. She was diagnosed 2X (we got a 2nd opinion from another psychiatrist) and both doctor's requested she be medicated. They both also said she will continue to struggle in school and without meds this can be detrimental to her socially, emotionally & academically. However, we cannot legally medicate her without her mom's consent. We've asked her mom to attend all the meetings with the teachers and doctors for the past 3 years, but she hasn't shown up to one. Whenever we suggest some type of therapy or retention in school, she refuses to oblige. We are concerned and are consdering getting an attorney to mandate medication therapy and full custody. We want her to succeed.

My girlfriend about a month ago was diagnosed as Hiv positive. I was tested after hearing this and came back negative. I'm am trying to be with her but I know that I cant do it if I stay Hiv negative. I cant ever have sex with her again. I did a couple of nights ago. The only reason I did it was because I was drunk and so was she. We used condoms but twice during sex I saw the condom broke. That makes me freak out even more and also lets me know I cant risk my health anymore by having sex with her. I love her and she has been the best to me but I cant continue on. I also was drugged and raped awhile back so I'm dealing with that stress too. All this is too much stress for me. How do I tell her I cant do this and I want to break up?

I was tested for it when I was a kid, but the results were negative. Could I have developed it later in life? (I am 25 now.) My grandfather had it, and later passed away as a result. Resently I went to the hospital for head pain, it was diagnosed as inflamed nerves on my brain. When I looked up the possible causes of that, diabetes came up many times. Plus I have been fairly fatigued lately, and I have UTI that has been a ***** to get rid of. My lbaby toes have been going numb here and there. And my kidneys have been hurting lately. When I was in the emeregency room the other day, they took a bunch of blood for testing. But they said it came back normal. Would they have seen if I had diabetes from that, and send me my full results later by mail? Or do I need to take a different test for diabetes? I am very worried. Should I be, or am I just being paranoid? What do I need to do? I don't want my medical bills to keep piling up. Can I get disability, or partial disability?

I have really bad ridges on both my thumb nails. There is a line going up the center of each thumb vertically with all these small lines and bumps horizontally. Does anyone know how I can fix them? Yes I do have the bad habit of picking the skin around my nails, which I have been trying to stop. They just look so ugly, I am very self conscious about them. If anyone knows how to get rid of them please help me.

Since I was 18 (am now nearly 30) I have had either really really bad depression and anger or really really high and weirdly happiness. In my mad phase I am angry, irritable, I want to bite people for no reason and I bite mo own skin and leave teeth marks. I am on antidepressants, and stronger ones now (got the stronger ones today). If I mention Bipolar to doctor's they shrug it off and just say am depressed.Believe me this is not JUST depression, this is ruining my life for nearly 10 years now. I am thinking of writing down my symptoms for my pyschiatrist and am wondering if any people on here are Bipolar and have similar symptoms?? What should I tell them at the hospital etc..?

Yes i have seen therapsits - I dnt have a problem with expressing my feelings. My problem is the issue with the supposed 2 b Md + psch. experienced person.
I sware I know more than them. I have 2 do all the research on my own- i could b a major in pysch.? Meaning diagnosis, plus meds, plus increase or decrease. no 1 knows their body better than themself. But... if ur having a med problem the psych says c the Md - the md says go 2 the ER ... Im very religous with taking my meds - which is good b/c im alone in this healing process of being misdiagnosed 4 12 years of not having bipolar disorder...
Any1 else in this situation.
