Ok I was recently diagnosed with HPV, (genital warts), which I am confused on because its been about 5 years since my last sexual encounter. I was told that 80% of sexually active people have them by the time they are 50. I'm in my early 30s, male, and have had a few sex partners(although I can't say the same for them-neither one had a clue what it meant to be faithful), this is the first time anything like this has ever happened to me.
I am being treated with Aldara to get rid of the warts but I've also read that they do come back, and that there is no cure for the HPV virus. Does this mean I will be contagious for the rest of my life?

I've worn glasses for about 20 years (I'm in my 30's). Suddenly, I don't need my glasses! I had an astigmatism, prism, and I was nearsighted. It started as very blurry vision closeup that was perfect without my glasses. Now I can see nearly perfectly far away too. No need for the prism either! Don't get me wrong, it's nice, but I'm quite curious about it. I went to the doctor and he said he's seen it a few times in his 35 years as an eye doc. What causes this? Goodness this is weird!

If you suspect you have a serious illness such as cancer, but do not have any real emergency symptoms, can a hospital refuse to treat you if you don't have health insurance? Or would they just bill you?

My mother died on Sunday and she refused to participate in a clinical trial involving chemotherapy after trying it for 6 weeks. The doctor strongly suggested that she continue even though she gave it a 2% chance of it working. My mom said that one week after quitting it, she felt great whereas during the therapy, she said it felt like every cell in her body was sick and she felt like leaping out of it. By the way, after quitting she received a bill from the trial and was informed that only the "medicine" was free.
