It still grows in patchy, and in some spots not at all.
Isn't that kinda weird for someone so old?

Today I had an appointment in this tiny office with my 6 month old son. There was this little girl that ran up to us and she wanted to see the baby. I noticed that she had a funky looking bald spot on her head and I got a little worried so I told her the baby was sleeping so she would go away. Turns out my mommy's intuition was right. A lady came out right after the girl left and she sprayed down everything. I asked her what was going on and she tol me that the girl had had ringworm. My son never left his car seat so I'm not that worried about him. But I was sitting in a chair that she migh have been in. So it could have been on my clothes... and the more I think about it, the more I itch. My head is unusually itchy and my back needs constant scratching. How long does it usually take for signs of ringworm to appear from the time of contact? I know what to look for, I just don't know the time line.

I am overweight (currently) and just got so full on a plate of pasta with butter and 2 slices of toast that I had to make myself eat the rest of it. I feel so bummed about my mom's passing and other major issues in my life and have a history of depression. When I get too depressed I tend to shut down (not want to eat, just want to stay in bed but have to force myself to do anything). The only thing that is helping me eat so much is numbing myself by watching t.v. to try distracting my mind but even then I have trouble eating when dead things or people die on t.v., or when a certain holiday is on it, and I will put my food down until I watch something else to distract me & then resume eating. I am thinking fasting until I get hungry will get me out of the mess of being overweight and will keep me from gaining any more weight, which I seem to be doing even when I'm eating the same amount every day.

When you're in the hospital, and your having an anxiety attack, or what have you, the doctor gives you a drug(not a tranquilizer) to help you calm down, or to take the edge off. When you feel it coming on, you ask your doctor for a ______, and then state why you need it.

I can't remember what you call them.. It's not called a 'preventative'.. I keep thinking, and the harder I try to remember, the further back in my mind it goes!
Anyone have any ideas what its called?

Wow
June 1st i was 278 lbs. I am now 209. All thx to Atkins. I havent been starving myself at all. Ive been going good with watching what I eat until today. Today i had a football game and for the team meal we had sloppy joes. I had two of em with the buns, 2 granola bars and half a banana.
Will my body take in all the carbs and sugar and make me gain some weight back?
What should I do( like go back to the induction phase style of eating)?

Help plzz

We were just given a wonderful mare - she does have heaves. She came with antihistamine medication and from what I have read and seen with with her so far, this may be senseless. Due to heavy work schedules, we are weekend warriors as I say, this mare will not be overused or abused, trail ridden primarily. My husband will rely on her for a walk; he is approx 225 lbs. I am wondering if I need different meds, wetting of hay or any other remedy. I don't want to cause her any respiratory discomfort....are there effective meds or limits that I need to be aware of? All responses will be appreciated!

If doctors are so "smart" then why have they not developed an effective yet chewable pain killer? I am one among thousands of people who can not swallow pills. I'm sorry, but when I was little I prided myself on being the only child not to swallow rocks.

So now that I'm all grown up and all that, people are telling me, "Okay, honey. It's O.K. to swallow rocks." Only they're not rocks, they're pills! ((Though as far as I know, they probably taste the same...))

Please, I'm tired of crushing ibuprofen's and pamprins! Is there any really effective pain killer out there that's chewable? I can't take Motrin or Childrens tylenol anymore. It doesn't work!

And, if you don't know of any painkillers, then could you at least give me tips for trying to swallow a rock?

I am suffering from a chronic gastritis may be more than 3 years. I have chest pain even during simple worry, slight tension, during presentation, during watching terror movies and even on some general things though there is nothing to worry. I want to control myself but I cant. This seems like a generalized anxiety disorder. Is there any effective way to manage this? Is generalized anxiety disorder and chronic gastritis (peptic disorder) related to each other?

Today I went to the dentist and laughed when the dental tech put a lead apron on me for X-Rays. She asked what I was laughing at and I proceeded to inform her of my medical proceedures over the last four months.

I have had 41 external beam radiations over the last three months. Each treatment consisted of five different positions lasting 47 seconds each. That's 9,635 seconds or 160.58 minutes or 2.68 hours of radiation. I have radiation burns on my groin area that may heal with-in a year, at the rate they are now healing.

There is nothing a below my bellybutton that works the way it did 5 months ago. I had a vasectomy in 1972 so there's no problem there. My wife is 68 years old and I'm 67 and we don't want any children anyway.

Just what is it they are trying to protect?

Heres the story, saturday I wrestle around with a friend, and he ends up sitting on my chest for a bit. Also in this day, a pigeon poops on me, but I wipe it off and all that. Sunday I woke up with minor chest pains and it hurt in my chest to swallow food, and had that all day. Monday I had the swallowing thing, and a little headache and fever. After monday the swallowing was fine again. I went to the ER actually monday night, after reading about diseases bird poo carries. Doc did a chest X ray, and said I have Pharyngitis. I got Erythromycin from him. Haven't had the headache and fever since. Now tonight is Thursday night, and I am having a little more chest pain. It is simple to swallow, but it feels like, I guess you could say ''cold'' in my chest when I breathe in deep, or if I cough. Also it hurts when I will use my arms to push myself up out of a chair. Is this something that was caused by the wrestling with the kid, or did the pigeon poop have something to do with it?

This kind of sounds really crazy but I need to know. In the past I was experminting with drugs.... Well I was doing them for a few months... Mostly Coke, Meth and E. I know when I did them and was up for a couple of days I would get completly paranoid and I would feel like I was being watched are there where camra's everywhere or people where talking about me. The worst was I would think people where talking in "code" meaning they would be saying one thing but actually talking about something else. I usually thought it was about me. When I would go to sleep I would wake up and feel normal again so I knew it was the drugs. The only problem is I am no longer doing any drugs but I still feel like people are talking in code (usually about me) and I sometimes think back on it and think I was not making it up that people really where talking like that. I have also had a hard time sleeping since my friends death a year ago. I think I will be haunted. I know that's not normal. I am drug free!

I eat right, exercise 4 days a week, meditate...the whole deal, yet I cannot sleep at night from worry. Can someone please inform me of any over the counter sleep aids, or inexpensive prescribed sleeping pills that could help me. I used Trazadone for a while, but it gave me sinus troubles...completely congested me every night, which would in turn keep me awake. Help, once again :)
