hormone causing pain?

my doctor put me on promivera or something like that to help bring my menstraul cycle down, because i do have problems where it isn't comming down. every time she gives it to me or my period decides to come down on it's own i go through horrific pain! my upper back hurts like hell, my breasts are killing me and i have been getting cramps in my belly and legs. there is no chance i'm pregnant so it's definatley my period comming down but my god is this normal? should i be in this much pain?

There are all sorts of normal. I would check-in with your female relatives (mom, aunt or sister) & see what normal is in your family. I would also see, if your doc. can put you on something else. Are under weight, been ill or have been on any other medication, this can all affect your cycle? I suggest, also seeking out a naturepath or getting some accupunture & see if this can help you.

Postmarketing Experience
There have been rare cases of osteoporosis including osteoporotic fractures reported postmarketing in patients taking Depo-Provera CI. In addition, there have been voluntary reports of anaphylaxis and anaphylactoid reaction associated with the use of Depo-Provera CI.
