I am not immune to chicken pox, I was tested when I was pregnant and told I am not immune. My mom says I did have the chicken pox when I was little though. I am over 20 and know it can be quite bad to get. My question is, I was exposed to someone with shingles, can I catch chicken pox from them, or would I catch shingles? Also how long after exposer should signs show up if I have caught the chicken pox or shingles?

i know i dont have an std b/c i was recently tested and havent had sex w/ anyone since that. i wont be able to get to a doctor for a couple of weeks. any ideas what this could be caused by and what it could be?

i recently did some research on the internet and i found out that the "problem" with my penis is skin bridges i have two major ones one is about 1/4 inch and the other is about 1/2 inch. ive done a good bit of research and have seen people comment that it is a minor surgery but my question is who do i go to for said surgery? a urologist? if so can they simply perform the surgery at their office or is a bigger deal that that? thanks in advance!

Like many U.S. citizens, I cannot afford medical care. A recent trip to the doctor set me back tons of money that I didn't have in the first place. I was laid off from work earlier this year and haven't found gainful employment (I live in an economically depressed area - one in which two of the major factories employing thousands of people recently shut down, saturating the job market.)

So, how hard is it to get medical assistance? Do you have to jump through hoops? Also, would my being on assistance affect me if I enlisted in the military (which I'm doing later this year/early next year?) I don't want it to come back and bite me on the butt because someone has a problem with it.

i broke my leg about 4 years ago and it's been a pain ever since. if i walk on it too much it begins to hurt, and it's painful now. does anyone know why it's like this and has anyone got any ideas of how to stop this now and in the future!? help xx

Colud you havea charlie hourse for 8 hours and I don't mean the aftermath of one where your leg just kinda hurts. I'm asking because my friend said that she had one for 8 hours and I said are you sure it wasn't the pain you have after one and she said no, so can you have one that long?

Okay. I'm really nervous about my dad. He's a construction worker and is out in the blistering heat all the time. He doesn't usually wear sunscreen. He has all these brown spots on his skin (shoulders) and has a sore on the tip of his ear that has never healed. I'm afraid that all of this exposure has maybe made skin cancer a possibility. Any advice on how I can keep my dad healthy and safe??

Symptoms:

Scaly skin
Sunspots
Sores that don't heal
Red skin
A sore or spot that bleeds or become crusty

For the past 3 days, I am feeling pretty tired. I was away for a week before this while getting maybe 6 hours of sleep everyday. I can still do my everyday activities including sports, but I feel like I want to sleep most of a time. I know that strep throat is also common during mono, but I only feel mild fatigue/tireness. Do I have like a mild case of mono?

My cousin claims that she cannot work b/c she suffers from too many mental disorders. She says that she would love a job and to have normal interactions with the "real world" and have a paycheck but believes this is impossible. She is almost 30, has never been able to keep a job, is on meds and in weekly threapy. What job should I encourage her to seek, as her therapist said starting her own cleaning business would be a nice choice but she was not to thrilled with that idea. I am happy that she finnally thinks she might be able to hold down something more long term but I have no clue what to suggest. Ideas?

i am currently using retin a cream and antibiotics as told by my doctor. my acne is weird, i have a lot of it, but its all minor and no cysts. ive been using my medication for over 5 weeks now. does anyone know how long it will take for me to clear up? also i used to use proactiv, but i only liked the refining mask, should i use the refining mask along with my current treatments? i realy need help

I'm 17, im five foot 10 and i weigh about 185. I'm athletic, i do five sets of 200 crunches every day, i curl 35 pound dumbbells 15 times with each arm for 3 sets a day. i can bounce my pecs up and down individually or together. My chest is firm and i get lots of compliments but my pecs are not rock hard. they dont sag but they are still a little soft especially around the nipple. Why is this? is there anything i can do about it?

I'm a bowler and yesterday i thought it'd be funny to show some people up on Wii Bowling :). But i woke up this morning and my Posterior Deltoid, Infraspinatus, Latissimus Dorsi, and Teres Major Muscles are really sore (rear shoulder, armpit/back) I have a (real) bowling tournament tomorrow - does anyone have a quick solution? I currently use BioFreeze for muscle soreness, but it doesnt seem to work.

I live in richmond VA where an RN's starting salary is about 40,000. I understand in Northern VA up around washington DC in areas such as falls church, potomac mills, fairfax and other places the salaries are higher. Does anybody have a general range for a new hire new RN with little tech expirience? I just dont want to be gullible and paid too little because i come from an area that pays nurses less. games, some girls are, and its making me angry because i dont no how to react, except feel angry..

she is a white girl from britain, she doesnt like me..

iam french and native american.
i feel she knows because im not powerful at mind games with me, she can play them, and press all my buttons.

how do i react to that?
i feel inadequate that i dont no how to react without feeling angry.
she said earlier everyone doesnt like me, all over the world even, including all america to.
i just watch in muted silence as my anger fires up, teeth clenched, even growling to myself, not knowing how to respond.
feeling ridiculous as this girl tears away at my self esteem....words wont find me...iam in shocked, angry silence
