I think I have an eating disorder. I feel immsense guilt if I eat anything bad and then throw it up. Or if I dont do that I eat very little and exercise religously...

I am afraid to tell my husband, and I dont know what to do....

How do I lose twenty pounds (being at five-foot-eight) without doing cardio? I have weak knees and ankles that get swollen and extremely painful when used, even speed-walking!! :'-( Is there anything I can do other than weight-lifting? I don't feel that weights really help. Oh, and as far as diets, I'm a health-freak and only eat two meals a day.

Breakfast: Some sort of fruit + fat free yogurt, tea
Lunch: Tuna on wheat thins or salad, more fruit, tea
Dinner: Spaghetti squash or vegetable sir-fry, glass of skim milk or tea

Dessert: More fruit

Running 30-45 minutes 6 days a week

How does that diet and exercise plan sound?? Do you think I'll be able to lose 7 pounds by the 23rd?

It's certainly not as bad as pissing in the shower, which I don't usually do, but I'm not gonna get out of the shower just to take a piss unless there's someone in there with me, in which case it wouldn't be very polite.

Are leg cramps a possible side effect of Metformin/Gluchophage?
I am on Metformin/Glucophage. I have been getting 2-3 severe legs cramps per night around my ankles, and calfs so severe that I have to get out of bed and walk around. Could this be a side effect of the glucophage? I have been taking it for six weeks now. Anything that could help the cramps. My legs are still sore.

A wasp sting I received less than 24 hours ago has caused my hand to swell up like a baseball mitt, with a good deal of pain in the extended swelling region. A 24-hour ready-care doctor told me to keep taking benadryll and gave me an Rx for cephalexin (500mg), an antibiotic.

OK. I'm not a biological genius (I'm actually an environmental engineer), but I know that sting poison works by injecting heavy poisons that your body reacts to. This is not bacteria, so I do not understand why he would give me an antibiotic. There are NO open wounds or sores, so I just can't see how the swelling is a bacterial infection.

Is this guy a quack or what? Shouldn't he have given me some steroid or something to control the swellng?

i just had a recent ear infection from a cold and took azithromycin tablets, it was the five day thing and the pain went away but they kept ringing. i didn't do anything about it and thought it would go away but it didnt. this was a couple weeks ago and now they r ringing much louder and its keeping me awake at night. i've been getting3-4hrs of sleep now. i havent had any cold/alergies. i am going to the doctor tomarrow but is there a way i can get rid of it on my own?

I've had this cough that started a few weeks back from a local forest fire. I got prescribed some meds and an inhaler. The dr's here locally aren't too bright, but I'm going to go back and get a 2nd opinion this week.

My question is that do I have nemonia? I'm not sick in any other way, just a cough and I can hear the "liquid" sound in my breathing. My 2 year old has it also, so I'm a bit worried. We both just have a rough cough; no temperatures, no sneezing, no cold or flu symptoms.

Any medical proffesionals want to give an opinion?

I've read that fasting was good for you and that it isn't. So which is true? I'm trying to lose weight, and I've read tht you shoud fast before, so you rid your body of toxns and stuff. How long should I fast? And won't I get tired/hungary?
How much weight will I lose if I fast for 4-5 days? I'll just drink TONS of water and drink 6 glasses of decaffinated green tea. After I'm done fasting, my body will be rid of the toxins and I'll start a healthy diet. How does that sound?

I am seeing my boyfriend after a very long time on Monday14th, I need to lose FAT soon. I weigh 160lbs and I am 5'5. I need to lose atleast 10 pounds.I have 7 days. And I have planned to eat healthy, and workout 3 hours a day at different intervals, I am going to use High Intensity Interval Training. I am also drinking 5 cups of green tea. Do you think it is possible for me to lose 2 dress sizes maybe, and 10 pounds of FAT by all this. I don't want to lose water weight and thats why I dont want to diet. It's useless.

PLEASE ONLY answer my question about things I can do in ONE week. If you have any suggestions beyond that, I have to deal with all that later. Thank you very much. It means a lot to me.

How long should I expect him to live at this rate? He had total hepatic system/ liver failure 2 years ago this Oct - barely lived - in Hosp 16 days.Last October he had a siezure from withdrawal - he started drinking 24 beers every 2 wks - that I know about - He should not drink at all but says he isn't him if he can't have a beer. I am beside myself finding he is stashing beer in the trunk of his car, & other really cute places around the house. HELP!! I am deeply hurt seeing him commit suicide this way...he does not really want to live anymore since he can't do what he used to...where we live there is little or no support at all, our kids have grown & his boys are in their own worlds. I have been with him throughout this ordeal & it's been a really rough ride for us both. I love him & won't leave him, but his Dr.Jeckle & Mr.Hyde personality is tearing me apart & he remembers only what he wants to remember. He is on blood pressure/2 dif diuretic meds & pantaloc.Lorazapam too
