Hi there. Sorry for your troubles. From your description, he may have an inguinal hernia. Many can be manually reduced, however, will eventually require surgery. The worse case scenario is that the hernia becomes incarcerated in which blood supply is cut off. This is an emergency.Start with your regular doctor who can determine if surgery is necessary now or not. Things should go well. The first step is to get him evaluated to avoid a crisis later. Your husband is very lucky to have you. Because wives bug their husbands to see doctors for check ups, they live longer on average than single men. Have a great week and make that appointment.

More rock and roll... less mosh pit bouncing is highly recommended.

For some of us, it is normal to go up there but it should not hurt. For others the cavity into the abdomen is too small for the testicles to pass back through (it's the same cavity that they came through when they first descended when he was a little boy). It hasn't got anything to do with your prostrate gland. One form of hernia is when a piece of intestine passes through that cavity and gets caught in the scrotum ... but it isn't that either.

One instance I can think of where it might be painful is if he is lying on his back and they are inside that cavity.. and a bit if downward force is applied (usually in a rythmic manner, in my experience) to the area. That can sometimes hurt if done with some measure of enthusiasm. I suppose you are on top of that situation though, so no need to worry.
