I think that the answer is no they are not as important. From a biological perspective males have really only two functions; provide sperm for reproduction and protection for females with offspring. Once they start to decline than both those functions can be taken over by younger stronger males and there is no incentive to keep them alive. Older females on the other hand still contribute to the group welfare.
Women are more social than men and often take an interest in their health and the health of their children. Men on the other hand take an interest in sports, sex, and (can't think of anything else lol lol). Now of course there are men who are in a committed family relationship (such as my father) and contribute to the well being of their loved ones in many different ways. Thesemen have wives, daughters, and mothers who are deeplyconcerned for their well being and health, but without support they would show little interest in their own health. Health access is a female thing

I know that places pay for it around where i live. But i was just curious as to how much i can get for it and can't call for a few more days. I need some extra money. And please dont give your moral opinions on it. The companies that collect if for free turn around and sell it for profit anyways.

I've been dealing with this now for about 2 years or so... I think it's caused by hemorrhoids (not sure if that's correct). I haven't been able to go normally for 2 years... The only times I can go are with suppositories, and/or enemas... Along the way from this constant constipation though, I've developed hemorrhoids.(At least I think that's what they are...) It always hurts SO much to go to the bathroom, and I find myself (without even thinking about it) holding it, because of the pain I feel when I do go... Then it gets to the point that it's at now, 1 week & 2 days without going... What can be causing me to constantly be this way?? Right now I really really have to go, but can't without straining, and even then I still can't go.. .and I know that straining is causing even MORE damage........ Please help! :( I bought Phillips stool softener.. but haven't used it for fear of it hurting? What can help me go without hurting and bleeding so much??

I'm talking about the pills that are suppost to help you loose weight by boosting your metabolism and stuff (of course I wouldn't just be using the pills, it would be along with healthy diet and exercise)
Thanks for any help

I know for the fact that some people when once fat, and after they'd gone dieting and exercising they are left with some memorabilia. Now the the thing that surrounds my nipple is bloated [not the actual nipples (the ones with the same color as your nipples)]. It seems that even the surroundings of my nipples are like protruding. I know that they came from me being fat in the past. How do I somehow reduce them to being just flat? Need help on this.

i am 16
my back has been hurting since christmas and is gradually getting worse
ive been to the chiropractor at least 12 times and i went to an emergency clinic b/c i could barely walk and they just said i was having bad back spasms and sent me out with some muscle relaxants.
then last week i went to my doctor and he sent me to get xrays b/c he thought i might have slight scoliosis. the xrays came back fine. and he gave me a different type of muscle relaxer b/c the other one made me sleepy.
my back still hurts it is starting to affect my school work and i had to quit gymnastics. the muscle relaxants work some but not a lot. i use heat and ice and those icy hot patches. and they relieve the pain for a short time. i have no clue what is wrong. i think my parents are starting not to believe me. its all of my lower back and the sides of my back from the bottom of my shoulder blades down. i dont know what else to do if the doctors cant find anything. it hurts!!! please help me.

I've recently been going to a psychologist about depression. It was my last resort. She wants me to take medication but I reeally don't want to. I heard things about it, and I don't know how it would help me feel better. Life would still suck. Also she's been asking me if I ever thought of commiting suicide or if i wanted to hurt myself. I've thought about it but for now i'm trying to keep it together. I told her that I wouldn't tell her if I was. Should I tell her the truth? I don't want to be put in the looney bin. Thats why i haven't told her.

I'm in college and supporting myself..i don't have family to help or friends who i think i could talk to about this. Please help

They say it was an apparent heartattack. No signs or symptoms. He was 41(smoker-moderate drinker)complained of faintness, laid on ground-turned purple from neck up and I guess was gone. No complaints of chest tightness-nothing! Coronor said no autopsy was needed.Could it have been a blot clot or anyrysm? He was raking the lawn. He was very active always doing things. I just dont understand.

I recently , as of 3 months ago had my mitral valve repaired via a minimal invasive surgery procedure. I am still on the drug Warfarin and Atenolol untill the cardiologist sorts out my irregular heart beat , it could be side effects from the drugs in which case once I am weaned of the drugs and my body has time to reajust things could get back to normal otherwise I may need a pace maker, I am told by my Doctor. I am looking for a support group to ask some questions. Does anyone out there know someone who has had the same procedure who I can have a few words with. Or are there any support groups out there that I can contact.
