I'm 12 years old and my period started last November, when I was still 11. It usually comes at the end of the month, and that first one had A LOT of blood, which I've heard is really unusual. And then in December, there was basically nothing, and I've missed all my periods since. I tried to talk to my mom about it, but when I brought up the subject of missing periods, she kind of freaked out, so I told her I only missed February (as if it was a late period), but not January. I've never had any sexual activity, but there has been contact with possibly unclean surfaces (NO, not like that!-- it was an accident!), so I need advice! Also, I've been gaining some weight, and now I'm scared!! I know I'm still growing, so it's normal to be constantly gaining weight, but it's still freaking me out! What's wrong with me? I obviously can't go to some kind of nurst of somthing, and I don't want to have that awkward talk with my mom again. What should I do?!? HELP!!!

I use Seasonal Birth control and am wondering if I can use my "white pills" early so that I can have my period two weeks earlier than normal. I am scheduled to have it while on vacation and would like to get it over with in advance if that is an option. I haven't been able to reach my doctor to see if this is an option. Does anyone know?

I have gout but this last attack was in several spots, big toe left foot, left/right ankles, both knee's, hips, both wrists, the ball joint of both thumbs and partly up my spine. There is some swelling but not the huge swelling as in normal gout but the pain is just the same as when I get a regular gout attack. Had to use a cane for two days and it took a week for the rest of it to subside. Was tested for Lupus awhile ago but that came back negative. Right now feels like its deciding whether to clear out of my system or come on back real strong again. Anyone got any ideas. I take colchicine and naproxen and they did help.

My questions.... Can Sushi lead to cancer?

thanks everyone!

On my lower right eye, where the lashes are, I have had these small twitches/ spasms on and off for over a month now. I first thought it was caused by stress, but it hasn't gone away. Is there a nerve problem? What is going on? Is there something I can take to make my eye relax?

I recently moved to Spain and something here is making my stomach very gassy and painful. This is the only symptom I am experiencing. I have been sticking to low-fat, low-carb diet for over three years now so wheat products and broccoli haven't bothered me before. I don't eat beans. I am not lactose intolerant(unless that develops later in life). By trial and error I am leaning towards some type of common sweetener used in the foods here. Back home(usa)I use Splenda, they don't have that here so I use sugar. I am suspicious of foods bought in the supermarket that include sweeteners. I don't usually eat out here, my problems occur when I cook a meal at home. Any clues?

So I'm a nanny (aka carrying a lot of kids) and recently I had some pretty bad lower back pain however no immediate trauma that may have caused this. This dull ache has been going on for at least a month probably more. I decided to see a chirpractor. He was such a nice guy, took time to go over what was bothering me and did some diagnosis. He performed a spinal analysis machine and discovered my right side carries 12 pounds more than my left which made total sense to me. Also using another handheld machine and handheld diagnosis that my neck had a lot of tension and that could be pinching my nerve and causing my headaches. The cost was only $35 dollars and I have another appoitment to go over costs, plan of action, etc. However, when I called my mom she was like oh that's bull***t he just wants money, they're quacks and doesn't want to file to insurance. I believe in this however I'm in college, not financially set. Are they really quacks, can I even afford this, is it worth it
