Ok this has been going on for a while and it's getting annoying. When I eat my lips get very red and so does the area around them. It's not so much my lips that bug me but the area around them.It doesn't hurt but I hate the way it looks.Does anybody have any idea why my lips insist on doing this and how I can make it stop?I've never seen anyone else with the same problem :(

well first off stop constant use of the chapstick .
most people will have red lips and face if they eat spicy food. i suggest you try to eat non spicy food for a week or so. make a list of what you have had to eat when your lips get this way . you may well have an allergy.
until you have stopped the chapstick and done all of this there is no point in seeing a physician as they will want all of this done first so that's about it .
don't rub your lips or touch them you may have just got into a bad habit of rubbing your lips or biting them don't do that .
another thing to do is switch toothpastes if you have only been using one use a plain one best at this time to use a child's toothpaste until you know more about what is the cause of this idiosyncratic lip redness

attempt doing an removing nutrition plan. decrease right down to ingesting in basic terms some meals consistent with day (sufficient for protein, and your supplements of direction) yet purely very fundamentals. decrease out bread, eat uncooked end result and greens, and lean protien like tofu or rooster. in case you have any style of abdomen subject concerns or something like that then talk on your wide-unfold practitioner first of direction. If reducing out meals facilitates, then introduce them back separately and notice if something triggers your reaction.

It does sound odd,but i think that it maybe something to do with hot food or curry, chilli, anything that might be in the food your eating that would have an hotness to it like pepper.

Is it spicy food? I think that I might have an allergy to Cayenne pepper that causes me to get that.
