I have gout but this last attack was in several spots, big toe left foot, left/right ankles, both knee's, hips, both wrists, the ball joint of both thumbs and partly up my spine. There is some swelling but not the huge swelling as in normal gout but the pain is just the same as when I get a regular gout attack. Had to use a cane for two days and it took a week for the rest of it to subside. Was tested for Lupus awhile ago but that came back negative. Right now feels like its deciding whether to clear out of my system or come on back real strong again. Anyone got any ideas. I take colchicine and naproxen and they did help.

My husband has gout and he recently had wide spread joint pain and swelling. Dr. did all sorts of blood test but they came back normal. Dr. thought it might by viral rheumatism. He's getting back to normal now. Hope you will soon too.

Pseudogout? (It's a different kind of crystal, not uric acid).
