I'm going to visit my girlfriend for a week, in less than five days. The day I leave, unfortunately, I'm going to get my period. Since I can't use tampons (they just don't work for me, and cause me a lot of pain), I'm stuck with pads. She uses tampons. I'm freaking out, and I feel disgusting and unattractive because of this. I'd try menstrual cups, but it's too late to get one now.

Is there anything I can do to get my period to start early, or to at least end it quicker (mine always lasts around five days)? I know it's all hormones, but there's got to be something I can try. ):

No stupid answers, please.

I quit smoking 3 days ago. I'm feeling really really good now but I still crave a smoke after my meals. I gave up cold turkey but I'm wondering when I'll stop thinking about smoking. Does any one know?

Ok, now I know that there are some trainer's giving us a bad name, but this question is not directed towards them. It's for the experienced, knowledgable trainers out there. There seems to be a general concensus that trainers are expected to do free stuff. That may be fine to an extent for some trainers...but the thing is, this is our livelihood for those who train full time. And in our business, our time is money! With that being said, quite often people may want free consultations, free sesssions or a package of three free sessions to "guage your worth" so to speak, before they decide if they want to give you their money. Attorneys, Doctors, Therapists, Accountants, Dentists and other professionals of the like, charge for an initial consultation. Of course some do not. But why not be willing to pay a professional Personal Trainer his/ her fees? Are you not looking for better health/fitness, longevity and an overall better life? Share your thoughts.

An accupuncturist around the corner form my house has a little shoppe where you can purchase many Chines remedies. I bought a tube of something for acne, and it has helped. I also bought a box of Life Rising, Detox tea. It's supposed to clear toxins from your body, smooth bowel movements, maintain normal weight, and enhance skin beauty.

Any feedback on this kind of therapy?
Also, can anyone who's familiar with this sort of thing recommend a chinese herb for depression?

I'm 19, a young lady. I think that this may be a break true. It's been months I've been a little out of it. Many things don't interest me like they use to and the past gets to me. Stress causes me to become very emotionally sensitive at times. Low confidence, bored, lack of energy. In my point of view my cousin gave up in life because of certain events that happened in his life, not because he has a mental illness like anxiety. People create anxiety when they label things and thing negatively. My dad hasn't worked in years. He feels helpless and that life is not in his control. Society didn't give him a chance and so did himself. These people are pessimistic. I'm optimistic. That's how I see it. They gave up and allowed others to label them. They were defined by society and not themselves. Life isn't easy and they didn't have people around to guide them. I get depressed, angry, cold and distant because people have hurt me in the past.

Hi, my name is Jazmine. I'm a FEMALE by the way! lol Dont be fooled by this little icon here. I'm 15, 5'5, and i weight 130 pounds. I want to go down to 125 and lose 5 pounds in a MONTH. What i'm doing right now, is that i'm eating a small portion of breakfast with no dairy, fruits in the day, and i eat a regular school lunch, which is a chicken sandwich (no mayo, cheese, lettuce). For dinner i eat nothing, and i excersise for an hour and sometimes even more. Will this work? and if not, what will?

I know this may not be the right place to be asking for donations, but being that I don’t know that many people I figured this couldn’t hurt.

This June I will be riding in the Tour de Cure, a bike ride aimed to raise money for diabetes research, education, and advocacy. I have set a personal goal of raising $175 and a team goal of $1,200. So far my we’ve only raised 12% of our desired goal. With your help we could achieve our goal and, more importantly, we can exceed it.
If you are one of the 20 million Americans affected by diabetes or if you are a family member of one of those 20 million than you know how hard it is to deal with. By donating to this great charity you can help improve the lives of all those affected. Any amount, no matter how big or how small, helps in this great cause.

To donate online please follow the link below
http://tour.diabetes.org/site/TR?pg=personal&fr_id=4363&px=3209672

To donate by check please send me a message.

Thank you very much

I have been on antibiotics for a lung infection. 2 days into taking them, I started to get pretty severe upper-mid back pains at night. It would wake me, and keep me awake. In the morning, it is hard to move...it feels a lot like sleeping on a terrible matress. It doesn't last as long, it usually goes away within 10min of getting up. I called the pharmacist who said that it is not a typical side effect from the antibiotics. I have one antibiotic left to take...could this back pain just be related to my lung infection?

Hello,

I can't sleep, and I'd rather continuously refresh the yahoo answers page than stare blankly at the ceiling..you're probably the wrong people to ask at this time, but how can I beat this insomnia?

I'm considering staying up all night and all today tomorrow, to reset my body clock. Will this work, perhaps?
