It sounds great to me. Make sure you mix up your cardio and challenge yourself, otherwise your body is likely to get used to what you are doing and you will stop seeing results. Add in some resistance training too, more muscles = more fat burning. And make sure you are making up your calories of healthy foods, veggies, complex carbs and protein. Keep up the good work!

Damn, I wish I could burn that much. I burn about 300, but only in 30 mins. After that, I just get tired.
Yeah, if you keep at it and keep a good healthy diet, you start to lose weight in no time.
GOOD LUCK!
P.S. Don't over do it. You CAN get hurt if you work out to much. So take it easy... you're making the rest of us look bad ;)

forget about counting calories expended in the gym, it's a waste of time plus those calorie counters are not accurate they are based on statistical data. focus on performing more "work" each training session in the same amount of time as the previous session and you will lose body fat. so basically each training session you want to increase the distance traveled in that same 40 and 20 minutes.

What you are doing is great as long as you remember that the way to lose weight is not just through exercise. You must also monitor and control not only what you eat but how much as well. If you started this exercise program and then promptly upped your food intake to compensate for the new added output then you will not lose weight. You will become more fit yes, but you will not likely lose much weight.

depends on your food intake, if you do your workout and then relax with a KFC bowl, then you're not doing anything.
