Im thinking meds is the way to go here, maybe vitamins or foods that make you feel enrgized? Caffeine just don't cut it, it makes me feel strange, ginseng is just bullsh!t to me

It's getting to the point where it's getting embarrassing to even get a haircut. It hurts to sleep when I lay my head on the pillows. Anybody know how to get rid of them? Thanks for any help...I'm probably gonna go to a dermatologis if it doesn't clear up in the next two weeks... :-(

can you take birth control even if your not on your period i started taking the pill but i stopped now i want to take it again and my period passed about a week and a half or so im not sure if its ok.

Hi helpers! This is kinda worrying me to the point of panic attacks. My girlfriend was raped 6 years ago, and again 2 years ago.

During sexual intercourse, she has a pain like period pains, in the same place as period pains. I really really really want to know what this could be, as we are both extremely worried.

Any professional help would be so appreciated. With all due respect, if you are not sure about this, please don't leave an answer. I don't want to have to worry about things that may not be the case.

I have a STRONG family history of breast cancer. A total of 7 women in the past four generations have been diagnosed only one is still alive. My mother was diagnosed at 28 and died 11 years ago. Anyway I mentioned to my assistant, during a girly conversation, that I was going to wait until I was diagnosed with cancer to have a breast job. She got upset with me and said I shouldn't say that.

I feel that facing the reality that my chances of getting breast cancer is much greater than not (I have the genetic marker too) Therefore I don't feel that I am being doom and gloom, but realistic. I also want my daughters to prepare emotionally in the event that I am diagnosed so they know it isn't a death sentance but a disease that we can fight and win!

I sprained my foot 10 days ago -- went to ER and got it x-rayed etc. It still hurts after wrapping it and using crutches; also iced it and elevated it as instructed. I still have pain every time I step but by end of the day it is really swollen. Yesterday so swollen I had to change my shoes when I got home from work before I had an auction to go to. When I got home from that a few hours later it was even more swollen -- skin stretching. I expect pain for a few weeks, but why so swollen? I followed up with my regular internist 4 days after the injury (twisted my foot in a pot hole near my office in NYC), but I am concerned that it still swollen so much -- more now than before. Also had some calf pain last night during the night; I don't wear heels at all and have a desk job but I do commute on three trains etc. to work 5 days a week. Should I be concerned? Go back to doctor?

My daughter who was recently diagnosed with colorectal cancer and is scheduled to undergo chemo and radiation shortly, is saying that until they do the surgery to remove the tumor (following shrinking the tumor from chemo and radiation) they will not be able to tell what "stage" she is in. Is this true? I thought they could tell the stage from the biopsies they took from her when she had her colonscopy. Is there a doctor out there that could shed light on this for me? I have done a search about colorectal cancer, but cannot find the answers I'm seeking. Please help. Thanks.

Please answer this in a mature manner. I'm not asking this to be disgusting, I need an answer.
I've noticed lately that my waste is more of a yellow than a brown. It's also not quite solid; it's not diarrhea, but it's not how my waste normally looks. Is this normal?
I take about 100 milligrams of zoloft everyday. Could this be affecting it?

A month ago, I went to the meergency room with severe abdominal pain (thought it was appendicitis). I was given a barium enema (OUCH!). When it came back it said I didn't have that, but I had a complex ovarian cyst on my right ovary measuring 3.5cm. Last week, I went to my doctor who said they would do a sonogram in a month to see if it has grown. I got a copy of the films, and it shows what I think seems like alot of free fluid (ascites?) is there supposed to be any?) I have used this information and done some research on ovarian cysts and the symptoms, but it always seems to go back to ovarian cancer. I am 32 yo. I have no risk factors for ovarian cancer, but I am scared to death. As I sit here now, I just want to cry. Should I get a second opinion on waiting a month, or should I just wait the month and see what happens? I have read so much about OC being misdiagnosed or overlooked until it was too late. I really am at a loss, and would feel better if I could just get some opinions.

I am afflicted since Nov.'06 with CHF & severe edema. Thiazides & loop diuretics have had NO diuretic effect WHATSOEVER. I researched & now understand that CHF induces changes in kidney function, an increase in ADH (anti-diuretic hormone) & the kidney starts to conserve water & sodium. As soon as my body swelled all over w/edema, I NOTICED my urine output became scanty & concentrated. Also, a defective heart muscle leads to inadequate blood perfusion to the kidneys, in the first place.
I am enduring much pain in my limbs from edema pressure inside. IN my right leg, a scab from surgery dissolved, and cold water(plasma) streams down my leg CONSTANTLY. i wrap with incontinence pads to catch the flow. Is this anasarca? I cannot stop this flow.
those of you who succeeded with diuretics or whatever else, please answer me, how long till the water within your tissues crossed back into your capillaries & veins? I've been told it might never drain off, or that it is unpredictable.
