how do you know when you ovulate?

I was just wondering when do girl ovulate? and do you know when you ovulate?

Usually around Day 14 in your cycle (i.e. 14 days after the beginning of your last period). Some people ovulate a bit earlier, others later. There are ways to "test" for this using body temperature and looking at your vaginal secretions. None of these tests are 100% definitive though, and are only a general guideline.

The average woman ovulates in the middle of her cycle. If you have a 30-day cycle, you'd ovulate on or near the 15th day.
Some women have no idea when they are ovulating. Others do. It just depends on the person.
I do know when I'm ovulating b/c I get cramps (similar to the ones I get when I'm on my period - just not as severe. I also get emotional. Ovulation does involve fluctuating hormones, hence the period-like symptoms.

While there are not alot of signs there are a few. Increased discharge, increased arousal and a slight increased temperature are experienced by some but not all women. If you are trying to concieve try an over the counter ovulation detector kit . Otherwise speak with your doctor
