i am going to fix braces to my teeth as i suffer overcrowding in my upper jaw as it is small to occupy all the teeth!
the dentist told me that i will have to extract the two first pre molars before the braces procedure.. i am horrified from blood and sever pain although i am a medical student.. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what shall i do?

My friend has high Insulin levels and she told me today that when she goes to the toilet, her urine is bright yellow. She thinks that it could just be the vitamin tablet she had this morning, but she is still a little worried. She also said that she has been feeling a little queasy and like she has been wanting to be sick. She wonders if all this could be a sign of pregnancy.

Hello there...

I have a small question for all of u folks who perform blood draws by syringes....when u draw the patient's blood and proceed to empty the syringe in the test tube...when the syringe is emptied, are there any traces of blood left on the inner walls of it or it looks like it hasnt been used before? So basically, can a nurse not realize that she had used this syringe before?

The reason am asking is coz I went for a blood draw today and I wasnt paying attention so I didnt notice the nurse unwrap a needle...all I saw is her holding the needle and sticking it in my vein..I looked at the needle before she used it and it looked perfectly clean...

I am 39 with 2 children and have lost all interest in sex and have no sex drive and think it is hormonal. my cousin is 42 she had breast cancer 5 years ago and got the all clear. In october last year she had dissy spells and was refered to the hospital after a few weeks they had found several brain tumers and cancer on the neck last month she undergone a intence 8 sessions of radio therophy. her hair has now fallen out and she is unwell..chemo is to follow in a couple of weeks.. my aunt explains to me about the situation and we dont think that she will survive this but we dont tell her that as we would like to see her fight this. but last week i went to visit her she was talking about dying and she had been to the solicters to do her will.. i dont know what to say as i dont want to get upset with her.. its so hard

I have been having nipple leakage(clear to white) with manipulation.(the first time i noticied it was spontanious) I check about once a month to see if it with still come out. My gyn said that it is normal for some women to have it while on Birth Control(i was on Depo last year) or when the nipples are continuously stimulated. I do neither. i do have large breasts(40E) and have not had any children. It comes out of both nipples. No problem with breasts except for that. Any suggestions on what could be causing this?

a couple of weeks ago i had an I.V. in my hand, I told the nurse I didn't think it was in properly but she insisted on leaving it in... that night my hand swole up, no one noticed, and the nurse continued to put pain medication through it. The next day a new nurse noticed my swollen hand in blood in my IV and said that the fluid had infiltrated my tissue, and took it out and put in the other arm... now I have a swollen puffy vein i can feel in my arm that is tender to touch in couple of places... is this normal, what can i do, will it go away?

Could things get any worse? I feel my life is not worth living anymore as so many bad things have happened to me in the space of 4 weeks!

His condition is located on his face and flares up regularly. His mother and sister both have this condition, but it is located on their elbows and knees. I dont understand why his appeared on his face. I am worried that a child of ours might have this condition, what are the chances that it will ?? And what are the best ways to rid the redness and flare- ups ? It is very embarassing for him.
