I have been having nipple leakage(clear to white) with manipulation.(the first time i noticied it was spontanious) I check about once a month to see if it with still come out. My gyn said that it is normal for some women to have it while on Birth Control(i was on Depo last year) or when the nipples are continuously stimulated. I do neither. i do have large breasts(40E) and have not had any children. It comes out of both nipples. No problem with breasts except for that. Any suggestions on what could be causing this?

I have been off of that birth control for over a year and the doc did do blood tests and she said my levels were fine.

Just as your doctor said. It's caused by the hormones in your birth control. Many birth control methods simulate a condition that is very similar to pregnancy. It happens, but I've never heard of it causing any health problems. It may not stop unless you switch to something besides Depo.

I had this as a teen, before I even had ever had sex, before I was even on the pill, before I even had my 4 kids.
They did blood tests to see what my hormones were doing. Some of the levels were unbalanced with my estrogen and so forth. So the doctors ordered me some hormones to balance me out and it ceased.
With regular blood checks to make sure the levels remained the same (6monthly) and just in case I got too much hormone aswell.
It can be treated.

This could be an indication of a thyroid disorder or even polycystic ovarian syndrome, or PCOS. Best of luck!
