One time some guy stepped on me and it felt as though my toe nail snapped off , but ofcourse it didn't. Then the days after, i would feel as if i had splinters in the skin or somethign. But I don't.

Well forward 2 years later and i feel kind of limited because whenever i do exercise barefoot, if i do light running or jumping and the ball of the foot hits the ground, i feel the thorn-like-sensation.

Any clues as to what this might be? Something happened with my skin right? but i tell ya, it's weird

I'm basically starting to always eat. I eat when I'm bored, I eat when I'm sad, and sometimes, whenever I'm full, I still hunt for food. I've never weighed so much in my life and, I'm scared that I might be overweight.

I recently was diagnosed with Chlamydia when I thought I had a UTI (I get those sometimes). Both my partners were tested and they were negative. I just can't figure out how I could have caught this. I have been with two people only in 5 years. I was dealing with a nurse practitioner (the doctor was on vacation) and honestly I did not trust her and never really saw my first results. I am thinking of contactin them so my initial sample can be re-tested again.

I always masturbate like almost every single day & night. But here's the thing, everytime I do so, I always feel that my penis is dirty. Ya, I DO wash it every day. LOL But anyway, I furthermore have a concern that everytime I masturbate, I feel like some pee or *** squirts onto my pants. Is this normal? Also, is the "stuff" that gets squirted out of my penis *** or pee? What's the difference btw the two?

Let's just admit that no woman wants anything bad happening to their breast, right?
Well, lately my concern and worry about breast cancer has increased and I have questions.
First note that my grandmother had breast cancer. My great aunts had breast cancer. My mom had breast cancer.
I also have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) which increases my likelihood of breast cancer.

I'm turning 25 in two weeks. What can I do to prevent getting breast cancer? My Internal Care Doc and my Gyno both know my family history and yet no one will check me. They say I'm still young and my breast are still dense. I mean yes they check for lumps, but they won't do anything further.

5 years ago I did have a lump and the biopsy came back negative, but they did remove the lump regardless.

I just am sooo afraid that I'll get cancer. What can I do to prevent this as much as possible?

Hi everyone. Just trying to find anyone that may be taking the anti-depressant medication "Faverin", main ingredient "Fluvoxamine,"? Just seeing if anyone has had any side effects with it in the first week or so and if you've had any adverse affects when it is mixed with caffeine? Would really appreciate any help anyone out there may have. Thankyou

Scientists cure cancer, but no one takes notice
David McRaney

EDITORS NOTE:

Since the original publication of this article we have been inundated with responses from the public at all walks of life. It is important to note that research is ongoing with DCA, and not everyone is convinced it will turn out to be a miracle drug. There have been many therapies that were promising in vitro and in animal models that did not work for one reason or another in humans. To provide false hope is not our intention. There is a lot of information on DCA available on the web, and this column is but one opinion on the topic. We hope you will do your own research into the situation. So, we have added links to resources at the end of this column.

END NOTE

Scientists may have cured cancer last week.

Yep.

So, why hven't the media picked up on it?

Here's the deal. Researchers at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada found a cheap and easy to produce drug that kills almost all cancers. The drug is dichloroacetate, and since it is already used to treat metabolic disorders, we know it should be no problem to use it for other purposes.

Doesn't this sound like the kind of news you see on the front page of every paper?

The drug also has no patent, which means it could be produced for bargain basement prices in comparison to what drug companies research and develop.

Scientists tested DCA on human cells cultured outside the body where it killed lung, breast and brain cancer cells, but left healthy cells alone. Rats plump with tumors shrank when they were fed water supplemented with DCA.

Again, this seems like it should be at the top of the nightly news, right?

Cancer cells don't use the little power stations found in most human cells - the mitochondria. Instead, they use glycolysis, which is less effective and more wasteful.

Doctors have long believed the reason for this is because the mitochondria were damaged somehow. But, it turns out the mitochondria were just dormant, and DCA starts them back up again.

The side effect of this is it also reactivates a process called apoptosis. You see, mitochondria contain an all-too-important self-destruct button that can't be pressed in cancer cells. Without it, tumors grow larger as cells refuse to be extinguished. Fully functioning mitochondria, thanks to DCA, can once again die.

With glycolysis turned off, the body produces less lactic acid, so the bad tissue around cancer cells doesn't break down and seed new tumors.

Here's the big catch. Pharmaceutical companies probably won't invest in research into DCA because they won't profit from it. It's easy to make, unpatented and could be added to drinking water. Imagine, Gatorade with cancer control.

So, the groundwork will have to be done at universities and independently funded laboratories. But, how are they supposed to drum up support if the media aren't even talking about it?

For 6 mo, I have had a skin rash that comes and goes. It starts at on the palms, top of hand and wrist. Then I would get all those and then my arms a little bit. Then basically anywhere where I have tender skin (tops of feet, not bottom), across my pants line at my waist, chest, bra area, etc. My PCP is not concerned, just rx's me cream which works when not severe. Lately, I have been getting some hives with the rash, raised type of patches that Benadryl gets rid of. Just seems like rash is just getting worse as time goes on.

I take Zyrtec, Nexium and and just got off Paxil (oh the joys of withdrawal!) and am taking a different antidepressant. I have indoor/outdoor allergies (hence the Zyrtec) but I get the rash despite the Zyrtec! My doc just refills the cream and tells me to try to figure out what I am allergic to... could be food, could be many things. Any ideas? I can go a week w/out a flare up and then have either mild or moderate rash on any of the above mentioned parts.

I started working out last week, doing step areobics 2x week and yoga 1x a week. I am also taking the diet pill, Slimquick. Im eating healthier and Im feeling better than I have felt in a long time. After having 2 kids, I am doing my best on making myslef feel better and look better. I know they say 2 lbs per week is minimum, but Ive been doing this since the Friday b4 last and Im down 10 lbs. Is this healthy to continue this? I feel great, Im not weak, Im not tired all the time like I was, and Im getting my energy back. I know its only been a short time, but do you think its too much too fast? Will I regret it later? Ive never actually heard of diet supplements working any and was just wondering if anyone else has had the same results. I seriously thought the ad on TV was bogus like they all are. Anyone else have a similar experiance and can give me their honest opinion? Thanks.

I just found out i was preg. about 2 days ago. I know im not very far along at all. I had my "period on Dec 31st. It was barely anything, spotting more, and it only lasted 2 days. Now on the 26th i had tiny tiny spotting and that lasted maybe a couple of hours at the most. I found out i was preg on the 28th. I have been having little cramps, its hard to tell if its gas or cramps? What should i do?

I don't know how far along i am. The preg tests were faint so there must not be very must hormone in me. The doc confirmed it and he cant feel my uterus yet.

What should i do about the "cramps" and how far along do you think i am? I dont think those were periods...

Especially in the early stages? Or is it more dangerous to start bleeding later on?

I have read up on how many women claim they had their "periods" throughout their entire pregnancy. HOW CAN THAT BE POSSIBLE?

perhaps they are confusing their "period" with slight spotting/light bleeding?

Please help!
