There are suppositories, female condoms, vaginal contraceptive film and the today sponge all available over the counter. You can use a diaphragm or the birth control patch or the nuva ring. The depo shot is out there that is not something I would ever recommend.

patches inserts and of course the most COMMON form of birth control in america (because it's covered by health insurance) unreversible sterilization. my suggestion? go with condom unless in a multi year (5-10 year not 2) relationship and in that case go to your doctor (or planned parenthood) and talk to a health care proffesional. condoms are the _only_ birth control method you should use that give you a good chance of avoiding a sexually transmited disease. birth control is just part of the deal. personally? i would go with the condoms AND birth control. 10 seconds of annoyance with a pill versus a lot of time with pills (in the case of an STD) or a lot of pain in dealing with an unplanned pregnancy.
heck see a health care proffesional about all your options. there are a LOT more of them now a days.

Definitely, you can use vaginal contraceptives, IUD's, Diaphragms. Best thing you can do is get as much information on all of them before you decide what is best for you. The following website is a good resource, check it out... www.teenwire.com
