I just found out i was preg. about 2 days ago. I know im not very far along at all. I had my "period on Dec 31st. It was barely anything, spotting more, and it only lasted 2 days. Now on the 26th i had tiny tiny spotting and that lasted maybe a couple of hours at the most. I found out i was preg on the 28th. I have been having little cramps, its hard to tell if its gas or cramps? What should i do?

I don't know how far along i am. The preg tests were faint so there must not be very must hormone in me. The doc confirmed it and he cant feel my uterus yet.

What should i do about the "cramps" and how far along do you think i am? I dont think those were periods...

Congrats honey! The bleeding was more than likely the embryo implanting. The cramps are normal, at least they were for me. (I have three kids.) If the 31st of dec was the first day of your last period, then you probably conceived somewhere around the 14th of Jan, and you're only about 2 weeks. unless you conceived in december, and the light period on the 31st was implantation bleeding.

Anyway, call your dr if you are worried about the cramps, but I really think it's normal. (It was for me.)

Good luck!!!

First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test has been rated as the best in terms of accuracy from a very early date if you want to make 100% sure.

I don't think the December bleeding was a period, hon. I think you are going to have to consider that you were pregnant in December.

What was the date of your period in November? Enter that date into this site and it will tell you when you are due, how far along you are, etc;

http://www.babycenter.com/pregnancy-calendar/getinfo?_requestid=519930

I entered info as if your period in November was on 11/30/06 and that you have a 28 day cycle. According to that date you would be 8 weeks along, due date of September 6, 2007.

You can call your OB/gyn and book an appointment asap. See if they can give you a "date ultrasound" in order to determine the age of the baby. They can tell by looking how far along you are. I had one and it was awesome to see my youngest at just 11 weeks!

It's crampy business, but it's pretty normal to have some mild cramping. Talk to your OB asap.

If you are nervous about the cramps and spotting by all means go to urgent care to get checked out. As for how far along you are the doc will be able to tell soon when he orders an ultra sound.

You were right about them not being periods, a woman may bleed but not menstruate when she is pregnant. Ask your doctor about the pains and how far along you are. Generally, pregnancy can happen 2 weeks after the last sexual act so you might have to think back and try to determine the time frame.

In the beginning of pregnancy you will experience cramping it's normal.As for how far along you are it might be too soon to tell.If the cramping becomes more and more intense you may need to tell your doctor.
